  1. Jefferson not in training due to a heavy head knock at training on Monday at Casey. In the concussion protocols.
  2. Jai Culley. Former West Coast player. Number 1 pick in the mid season draft a few years back. Signed with Casey.

Goody at one point had ample reason to be annoyed with a certain spectator consistently being there. A certain list manager from another club who watched training after training and eventually got the request of the player he was most interested in watching to go to *his* club on a 7 year multimillion dollar deal

The fella who got to the microphone who began to address Darren Shand on stage saying what a great addition he is to the club and how vital he will be for the future when it in fact was not Darren Shand at all was another highlight of the question and answer section.

There was one statement that I hoped would be responded to about how poor our goal kicking is/has been and it looked as if Richo was going to have a right of reply but the next part of the question started to be answered and he put the microphone down.

  7. Have to give it a go and persist. Their playing styles suit each other well *profile wise*.
  8. Can bookmark the forward line of Koz, JVR and Jefferson as early as you like because it just won’t happen
seeing as Kozzy isn’t available until Round 4😂
  9. No one likes seeing a turnover but the positive of that is the emphasis on defence from the oppo in those situations. Ferocity/pressure and giving it all to cause/create turnovers is what will make our game style quicker (which is what most of us want)
  10. Scary thought re Kozzy being a full time mid when our small forwards are pretty much non-existent outside him. We really lack a ‘crumber’/spark once Koz exits that forward line. Hope it’s something in the target list through draft/trade in the next year or 2.
  11. 0 as a tall forward option. He’s a back up ruck, that’s all. We saw how that went with Grundy. I believe Jeffo will take the leap and take the spot but we will see. Sharp has been in full training. Reckon that wing spot is his with Langdon on the other with Windsor off halfback.
  12. Can say with some knowledge of the situation that Kirkwood-Scott had multiple interviews with our recruitment team in the lead up to the draft if a list spot became available. Clear interest from us to see how he develops in our program so definitely one to keep an eye on. Noah Yze has also signed with Casey for 2025.
  13. Don’t mind this other than Campbell. We lack a tall forward option. Jeffo or AJ straight in for him (as good as TC may have trained). Or the coaches put Petty forward and bring Tmac as the defender. Also think Sharp and Lindsay will be very close to the mark if not in the side.
  14. ‘Jed McVeigh’ being Judd McVee? 😂 interesting that you called his midfield shift “baffling”? if we don’t eventually play him as a midfielder, another club will pay him big money to be an on baller for them.
  15. Delisted Eagles player Jai Culley (number 1 pick in the 2022 mid season draft) will train with us over summer (like Roy George) after signing with Casey for 2025.
  16. Max doesn’t do much wrong but this may be the consistent one. Unless when in play he’s having a shot on goal from outside 50, please handball it😂
  17. Pickett’s uncle to train with Dees amid AFL interest Confirmation in the Herald Sun that Kozzy Pickett’s uncle Roy George will train with us despite us not having a list spot and him not being eligible to join as a category B rookie. The club is “open minded” about giving him a list spot if a long term injury occurs over preseason.
  18. Anyone could remind Judd that all 17 other clubs overlooked him and it was the then Premiers who took the punt on him at pick 18 in the rookie draft😉
  19. After believing he was tied to us, then being told otherwise that he wasn’t (should’ve verified that info better) have just been told that Toby Sinnema is indeed tied to us and we will have priority/access to match a bid on him if he’s good enough in the 2025 draftđŸ‘đŸŒ
  20. Melbourne are prepared to offer Judd a deal to 2029 like they did with JVR. They’ll be happy to accomodate another 2 years though if that’s all he wants. He’s very happy at the club and also has a partner who plays in AFLW side.
  21. Until his actions prove it *unfortunately for him* there will be a lot of scepticism and doubt.
  22. We do have 1 cat b list spot but as discussed Roy wouldn’t qualify as a category b rookie which makes sense. I hope we don’t sign him simply because that’ll mean we stay long term injury free
  23. Funniest part of Jay’s *original* article was that he made 0 mention of Bayley Fritsch at all in its first release. I guess he got the editor to put him in😂
