  1. I’m aware there’s not many fans of him on here, but don’t think many kids would get the pace of the game when they go from sub one week, to vfl, to a full game, back to sub, back to not playing at all due to being a carry over emergency. This isn’t just Laurie either, Woewodin in a similar position. Maybe neither will make it, but a consistent run of games (possibly even at another club) would show if they’re up to it whereas the chopping and changing of it makes it near impossible to get a fair crack at it in my opinion. (Yes I’m also well aware football isn’t fair😂)
  2. He is indeed the Father of Brayden and Corey yes. Been with Casey for many years. That connection is why Maynard had strong links to a move to the Dees a few years back.
  3. Surprised they haven’t trialled him more as a small speedy pressure forward. Seemed consistent him on the wing or off a forward flank. Should get a crack in the F50 under the forwards.
  4. If Freo got their way, they would’ve snapped Berry up, but Port jumped ahead. Reckon Berry would’ve been in red and blue had he gone to Freo and Koz wanted to go the other way at the end of this season.
  5. No where did I say they do. Just because they don’t “grow on trees” doesn’t make it any less of a need…
  6. We lack a small forward with Kozzy, let alone without him. An elite small forward is a desperate list need if not 2 of them if Kozzy departs at any point over the next few years.
  7. We lack a small forward with Kozzy, let alone without him. Scary thought starting next season without him not to mention it being even scarier if he leaves for another club. An elite small forward is a desperate list need.
  8. Very normal. Gets earlier every year to be honest. Majority of clubs are into match simulations with umpires (umpires need training too😂). Unofficial practice games start in just a bit over 4 weeks so it’s all systems go!
  9. Hurt his foot/ankle. Back running and plan is to rejoin main training in the next 1-2 weeks.
  10. I dare say he won’t be at Casey for long. Considered unlucky not to get a rookie/train on spot and most think he’s far too good for VFL. Mid season draft looms large.
  11. Who knew sharing information on a forum would have this reaction? Considering the reaction of most to the “media” on this page, I genuinely didn’t think it was worth it 😂
  12. Jefferson not in training due to a heavy head knock at training on Monday at Casey. In the concussion protocols.
  13. Jai Culley. Former West Coast player. Number 1 pick in the mid season draft a few years back. Signed with Casey.
  14. Goody at one point had ample reason to be annoyed with a certain spectator consistently being there. A certain list manager from another club who watched training after training and eventually got the request of the player he was most interested in watching to go to *his* club on a 7 year multimillion dollar deal…
  15. The fella who got to the microphone who began to address Darren Shand on stage saying what a great addition he is to the club and how vital he will be for the future when it in fact was not Darren Shand at all was another highlight of the question and answer section.
  16. There was one statement that I hoped would be responded to about how poor our goal kicking is/has been and it looked as if Richo was going to have a right of reply but the next part of the question started to be answered and he put the microphone down.
  17. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/1705616/agm-question-answers?videoId=1705616&modal=true&type=video Here is the link for the Q and A. Interesting watch to put it politely.
  18. Have to give it a go and persist. Their playing styles suit each other well *profile wise*.
  19. Can bookmark the forward line of Koz, JVR and Jefferson as early as you like because it just won’t happen… seeing as Kozzy isn’t available until Round 4😂
  20. No one likes seeing a turnover but the positive of that is the emphasis on defence from the oppo in those situations. Ferocity/pressure and giving it all to cause/create turnovers is what will make our game style quicker (which is what most of us want)
  21. Scary thought re Kozzy being a full time mid when our small forwards are pretty much non-existent outside him. We really lack a ‘crumber’/spark once Koz exits that forward line. Hope it’s something in the target list through draft/trade in the next year or 2.
  22. 0 as a tall forward option. He’s a back up ruck, that’s all. We saw how that went with Grundy. I believe Jeffo will take the leap and take the spot but we will see. Sharp has been in full training. Reckon that wing spot is his with Langdon on the other with Windsor off halfback.
  23. Can say with some knowledge of the situation that Kirkwood-Scott had multiple interviews with our recruitment team in the lead up to the draft if a list spot became available. Clear interest from us to see how he develops in our program so definitely one to keep an eye on. Noah Yze has also signed with Casey for 2025.
  24. Don’t mind this other than Campbell. We lack a tall forward option. Jeffo or AJ straight in for him (as good as TC may have trained). Or the coaches put Petty forward and bring Tmac as the defender. Also think Sharp and Lindsay will be very close to the mark if not in the side.
  25. ‘Jed McVeigh’ being Judd McVee? 😂 interesting that you called his midfield shift “baffling”? if we don’t eventually play him as a midfielder, another club will pay him big money to be an on baller for them.
