  1. ā€˜Impressedā€™ would be exaggerating but I think for his first competitive hit out with the ā€œbig boysā€ he showed enough. Had shots on goal, showed some ground level work and got his hands to it. Always room to improve for a young key forward but with an actual run at it I think heā€™ll play games at senior level this year and kick goals with better players around him. (Considering who we were missing).
  2. Harsh on JeffersonšŸ¤”
  3. Would think Lindsay is a certainty too. He is all class.
  4. On the tv coverage it looked like he pointed more to the inside of his knee rather than the outside. (Which would be a good sign if it was a medial not an acl)
  5. Thatā€™s absolutely rotten luck for Andy. Hopefully nothing serious šŸ˜¢
  6. Harry Sharp the small forward. Absolute bonus considering he can play on the wing too.
  7. North would be alarmed by this considering theyā€™re nearly 95% full strength whereas we have 8-9 of our best out. Best being the majority of the absolute A graders.
  8. On the Dees app, Henderson is listed as our number 43 šŸ‘šŸ¼

  10. Love to hear it. No point risking the guys said who are missing out against North in that weather. Save em. Protect the older bodies/ guys with injury clouds. No doubt the majority if not all will be on the plane to play freo next week as wellšŸ‘šŸ¼
  11. Imagine May wouldnā€™t play either considering he played in the Indigenous game and we fly back to Perth next week to play Freo. + Viney has been on modified training so it would make sense that they give him another week rather than playing him in match sim against North.
  12. Looks like with all the said absentees of tomorrows match there wonā€™t be any players left to play for Casey in their practice match šŸ˜‚
  13. Will just be like a normal match day. I imagine Casey players and our players who arenā€™t picked for the first team will have their captains run following the firsts? (If the VFL practice match (North v Casey) is still going ahead tomorrow with the weather.
  14. Marc McGowan from the age confirmed it at the time of the trade too actually. Good on him. Good security.
  15. Harry Sharp also signed on a 3 year contract šŸ‘šŸ¼
  16. Aidan Johnson and Henderson were the two they were talking about. Henderson wouldā€™ve been picked at our last selection if we got a tall (Tauru) instead of one of Langford/Lindsay. But they went with Johnson because they selected the two mids first up. Worked out in the endšŸ‘šŸ¼
  17. Any player placed on the inactive list means they will be out for at least the whole season. They canā€™t be taken off it until the following year which means theyā€™re marked ineligible to play at any level until the next season.
  18. Henderson goes onto the rookie list - not the main/senior list or cat b list. We still have a cat b selection in which we can sign someone who fits the criteria at any time.

I wouldnā€™t be opposed to any of those 3 and in previous posts I have mentioned all 3 as options I would love to see considered or given a go. However the club seem to be persisting with Laurie as a midfielder, Bowey as a half back/small defender and Brown as a wing/half forward. (Which doesnā€™t make a lot of sense to me given our lack of options).

Plenty of small forwards? Where? Other than Kozzy there isnā€™t a lot. Chandler doesnā€™t hit the scoreboard enough. Spargo is always injured and was never a big goal kicker. We drafted Langford to do the mid/forward role youā€™re talking about.

Donā€™t even think the LTI exists anymore. The inactive list is the mechanism which rules out whoever you put on there for the whole season.
  23. If not us, someone else will get Culley. Very little doubt from anyone and most clubs that heā€™ll end up on an AFL list again one way or another. Ox talked him up this morning on SEN WA about how dominant heā€™s been at training this preseason taking it up to our ā€˜A gradeā€™ mids.
  24. Windsor and Chandler will be fine for Round 1.
