We didn’t fully implode? Coach sacked? President gone? CEO gone? Arguably 2/3 of our best players left and we didn’t implode? That was under the two spoken leadership. I love Max as much as anyone but if you want to put the responsibility on Max and Jack for not letting us implode, then put it on them countless indirections that have happened under their eyes and leadership too.

Concern is an understatement if we roll out Max (C) and Viney (VC) for the 7th consecutive year (correct me if I’m wrong). No slight on Max and he should/will remain captain for this year and probably next but a fresh face at the very least under him or at least in a group that’s “public” would be refreshing to say the least.

Guerra is all talk. Flips and flops to fit the best optics narrative. He went on public record saying Tom Hawkins was coming in and he can’t even get that across the line. He’s not labelled with the lack of a training base but he’s said as little as anyone before him and constant meaningless dribble like the rest. The sponsorships so far have proved as much. Grill’d gone after a year? MA Services group? I could go on. Not getting Keith Thomas for football reasons and going for Guerra was once again, a monumental mistake. So disappointing.

Ned Guy was also Jake Lever’s player manager when he was traded to us in 2017.

Was a bit of the fall guy for that. He actually manoeuvred the list to cull the bad cap and as you say, worked out in the end in the best way🏆 Luckily we’ve already sorted our cap out relatively. No money to Trac, Brayshaws pay out is ongoing and we have to fork out Clarry’s 650k. At least it’s a clean slate and he knows what he’s working with. Been working in the AFL too analysing all the player movement and the ins & outs of all the clubs lists in the last 3 years too. I reckon it’s a good get.

Thank you! It would be a little concerning if the new CEO hinted at Hawkins coming in so obviously and for it not to happen. Also means there’s money left over for more assistance if Hawkins doesn't come to the club. (Hopefully it does though). Can’t have enough football people, successful football people and successful, football and fresh out of the game people/assistants/players!

Interesting to see Tholstrup in many starting 23’s. Granted he missed the majority of preseason last year but would want to be showing a fair bit to make Round 1. Would hope Sparrow is doing a whole lot more to be getting a guaranteed game each week as well.

Jake Bowey to miss 6 months after having surgery on his lisfranc. One of the worst foot injuries you can get outside the navicular.

Hopefully it is just an early case of a hotspot/bone stress injury. If it’s been caught early it’s probably a “good” time to get it rather than post Christmas/ into New year. Considering he was running laps on Wednesday can give us hope it’s not too serious and he’ll just be off legs for a few weeks.
