  1. Deelighted to hear this news - he looks right at home at AFL level - in his debut game he seemed to have more time than M Waugh or Gower, and the way he stepped up in the dying minutes in those games towards the end of the year showed extraordinary will to win. I've been super excited about Rivers since the moment as a draft prospect he was described as being a great kick running out of defence. He should play 200+ games. I hope he tells WC and Freo to f$ck themselves and plays them all in the Red & Blue.
  2. At least 4 of those names are negligible chances to be at Melbourne next year.
  3. Finally some good news. Really hoping Petty has a strong preseason and is over his OP issues. Sparrow is handy to have too.
  4. Port, lions, bulldogs, meth coke.
  5. 2020 keeps delivering.
  6. Times like these an extra $50k in the soft cap space would be handy.
  7. Gorgeous colour footage there from that era. Could have you thinking it was shot last year. How good do the guernseys look without all the sponsor logos!
  8. Great summary! Neale has 3 years on him - Trac has time on his side to be absolutely anything. A very exciting few years ahead for Trac, and I hope a few more of his team-mates take a leaf out of his book and dare to put in the work to achieve their own slice of greatness.
  9. 100% absolutely not. We're fortunate Brayshaw managed to come back from his nasty concussion a few years back. We are also paying a 3 year contract on KK who won't add to his 2 games for us in early 2019 thanks to a return of his concussion issues. Australian Rules football is a contact sport - head knocks are difficult to completely avoid, and McCartin has by all accounts been horrifically debilitated during his protracted recovery from his last head injury. For his sake, let alone ours, let us not go down this path.
  10. Rubbish. His right arm makes contact at shoulder height and the only direction it's going from there when the tacklee tries to break it is upwards.

    Delistings

I feel for Dunkley - COVID may have really screwed up his chances to hone his craft at VFL level.
  12. I've oft heard this repeated, but the first time I saw it was on these forums - do you (or anyone else) have a link to the original interview/report?
  13. That's what we want, one of our players getting wiped out slipping in their footy boots scampering across Punt Rd to drop a post-vindaloo deuce.
  14. He was sounding like being close to selection when his finger came off 2nd best against a dumbbell.
  15. I await news of our delistings with interest.
  16. Well 2020 can go and get fracked. Looking forward to an off season of hope building through trade/draft season and preseason and the likely dashing of said hope in 2021.
  17. If his body and mind are both right I'd be delighted to have him back as long as it doesn't cost us too much.
  18. Really? I'm sceptical. All he wanted while playing for us was to return to WA. Spent every off season there, bought a house there while contracted with us, friends are over there, enjoys the "lifestyle" there, etc.
  19. Jeez Sydney, I thought our "forward connection" was bad.
  20. #tankingnottanking
  21. Two forwards out for freo with Walters out too. ?
  22. Probably not on national TV. Edit: sorry, this reply was in reference to the earlier post about photocopying a bum at work!
  23. Yeah, this has merit.
  24. [censored] me footballers are thick.
