  1. A good scoreboard, considering the number of passengers we had: Petty, Chandler, JVR, Sparrow. Trac was fumbly. Clarrie and Viney were below their best. Fortunately Disco, Maxy, Rick and Maysie were on song.
  2. Fritter interview
 “100%”
  3. Petty has to be dropped after this. Doesn’t even look interested.
  4. Then you’ll just have to crumb it. 😀
  5. We’re not embarrassed. We know the term bog ordinary. But you wrote BOG ordinary. Perhaps you haven’t heard the term for Best On Ground is BOG.
  6. Confused me too.
  7. Well, I’m not holding myself up as a great predictor of results - I’ve picked all losers this round so far. But Carlton took care of the previously undefeated GWS, despite injuries. Collingwood looked back to their best. Brisbane lost to Geelong on their home ground in conditions they should be more used to. And Brisbane has beaten us in our last two clashes. It just worries me. I hope your optimism proves justified, @binman.
  8. After watching those games yesterday, I think Melbourne is a step below Geelong, Carlton and Collingwood. And maybe below Brisbane, despite their performance in the wet. We have a lot of ground to make up if we’re going to be a premiership threat.
  9. Not sure what to make of this. In any case, shouldn’t he be showering with his teammates?
  10. I’ll have the beer, but I’m staying away from that other stuff.
  11. Exactly. Brisbane just chipped it to players in space while we guarded grass. They made us look lazy and foolish.
  12. For me
 6. Gawn 5. Rivers 4. Langdon 3. T Mac 2. Lever 1. Sparrow
  13. Windsor? Rated 40th out of 46 players. Ten disposals. Don’t get me wrong, I love him, but let’s be realistic.
  14. The inexperience of our youngsters, Windsor, Howes, JVR and McVee, is showing. And our experienced forwards, Brown, Petty, Fritter, are out of position when the ball comes in. Clarrie is obviously hampered by his hand and is pretty much useless tonight.
  15. I was planning on going to the game with my daughter tomorrow night, but she’s not well. If anyone else is going alone or looking for a Demon-supporting companion, please pm me.
  16. Disappointed that you couldn’t find a way to mention Ben and Mrs Brown’s lovely daughter. 😀
  17. Um

I just checked the length of this week’s podcast. I usually take a long walk most days and fill it with an episode of A History of Rock Music in 500 Songs - which I heartily recommend. But today I’ll do a 2 hour, 40 minute walk, counting @binman’s ums for Stats File. 😁 Keep up the great work, @Demonland.
  18. Um

Thanks @binman, I hadn’t noticed that. You might need to have a quiet word with your assistant, @Binmans PA. 😀
  19. He’s been suspended three times in his last 26 games for pretty much the same thing. We love him, but it’s time to get some discipline.
  20. I take your point, Jaded. But do you think we could refrain from using the word boy? I am sure you mean it as young man, or lad, but it is a word that can offend indigenous people.
  21. Great to get the win. We could improve if we stuck the tackles, though. We provided great pressure but we often let them out of tackles, instead of getting a htb free or a ball up.
  22. This might be Oliver’s worst game.
  23. Too true. With his Rioli error, he stopped looking at the flight of the ball and looked a Rioli. If he had concentrated on the ball with a view to marking or punching it away, Rioli would not have goaled.
  24. Just watched the replay. Max was huge, but with six seconds to play at the centre bounce, he hit the ball to a Port player giving them the break forward. Surely the obvious play in the ruck is just to drop it to his own feet or take it out of the ruck and absorb a tackle to force another ball up. I noticed he did the same thing in similar circumstances last year too and I can’t understand why the sensible/defensive play isn’t drummed into him for close finishes or end of quarter contests.
