JVR was our lowest rated player when subbed out tonight. In the end, Melksham rated less, but that’s understandable given he was only on for a few minutes.

This was his best game for us. There were several who contributed less than Billings.

We got the Toby rule to stop feet hitting opponents in marking contests. Now there needs to be the Darcy rule.

Thanks for posting that. I saw that incident and wondered at the time if Witts would be injured like Trac was. Moore has taken some big scalps. There has to some common sense applied here. If a player hits an opponent in the head by whatever method, no matter the intent, it should be a reportable offence.

Not saying Goodwin owes us anything. I’m remarking on how the reactions are natural for people who don’t have the reasoning.

And why might we know nothing? With no explanation from Goodwin when he had the perfect opportunity to explain or at least hint, of course people are going to upset or bewildered.

Maybe not worth a vote this week, but I thought Judd McVee stood up in the last quarter with three score-saving acts. A lovely side step and a strong mark followed by excellent kicks. And then a smother (which ANB pounced on).

They did during the commentary. But there should be more fuss made of this.
