  1. Agree some of the umps are using the review and they should be able to see if it's correct or not. They are not earning their money properly. Send these users up country for a long drive and little reward and they will reform their ways or as a last resort possibly be struck off the list if incompetent.
  2. You don't understand why and when there is a need for the reviews. That's why the DRS is available to sort out the hard decisions and ensure accuracy. If you want umpires call then you will be whinging the first time it costs us a goal.
  3. NO Short memories. Don't you want to learn from last year? Agree Judd and Bowser both played their part and gave us drive and good disposal. Not sure who was on Rosas though So was Rivers ( except from his last five minute brain fade) and Hibbo.last rounds.
  4. Another "super positive" spin on one of the AFL feel good decisions this century OD. Lets be fair dinkum they haven't announced this for fun and if they can keep GC and GWS going with unlimited cash and varying results Tassie with its AFL culture will be a breeze. And the cherry on the top of the cake is the roof to keep the cold winds out off from the Derwent. I would willingly take a $100 bet with you on this OD but 4/5 years is a long time to wait for us oldies to collect!!!
  5. Doesn't effect the Swans who have a rather envious culture this century. Don't seem to lose their young colts at sll much. Even hold onto older ones for 11years!!
  6. That could change very quickly with Brad and Robbo over 4 years and it's their sons making the decision after all anyway.
  7. 2 Premierships in 65 years ( 30 plus years in the tougher AFL ) and 13 at ViC Park in the VFL would not suggest the advantage you assert David. And their Runners Up record of about twice the flags also might lull them into a false sense of luxury or the fact that they have a habit of being SECOND BEST and perform above their ability.
  8. He and Clarkson have very similar attitudes and I get the feeling that Hardwick will hang on like grim death until prodded out by the Club. Tigers are due for a reset and although they probably won't go as low as Eagles they should be very wary of how quickly things catch up once the core and heart for the contest and run in your game ( which is very inconsistent to be frank) occurs each week. There is no doubt injuries ( as with Eagles) have played their part but there is nothing like the smell of an off colour half baked former champ trying to relive their glory days. 1965 ( late) and 1966 for us were very tough years and little did we know how much tougher and longer this would continue. Tigers have a history of putting bad years consecutively ( like us) so with Peggy gone and Gale due for another bigger executive job there is a feeling that Damien might be right to look for another Club to practice his bravado. A 3/4 year rebuild is also not a pretty sight for a former champ, or the viewers and press alike.
  9. Of course he should not be an auto inclusion straight back when fit if we have learnt anything from last year. So far we have been very conscious of these lessons. I'd say two games at Casey is just right and form permitting he is a natural to return to AFL half back just before the bye. To contemplate if he doesn't return to our best 23 after the bye would only mean we are not managing our troops or that we have won all our games by a large amount and are on top of the ladder.
  10. Well that's not Disco really he is med to tall Backman. Leave the smalls to Judd and Salo and Bowser.
  11. He is in the top 10 so is high!!
  12. Can't be fine without a ruck hitting the ball first on many occasions to a favourable spot in the centre.
  13. Are you speaking from experience or just not spoiling a good story with a mistruth OD. I can only say in over 20 years of domestic travel I have never been redirected or had to stay over because of a fault with Jetstar. I have I believe heard of some Jetstar International maybe two/three times leaving air passengers in Asia over that period. But nothing like you are asserting. As with most Airlines there has been a very small instance since Covid return of cancelled flights mainly due to lack of staff and Jetstar has experienced that which I was effected. Would be about once/ twice in 12 mths. But once again your penchant for a completely negative tone seems to have overridden and exaggerated the real truth again. I have over the same period travelled majorly with Tiger ( and Virgin) and it was never even what you assert Jetstar to be. Saved about $5000 with Tiger compared to Qantas prices also. Cheaper Airlines flights are always more liable to have slip ups and whatever class of passenger mostly recognise this when booking. Maybe you expect Qantas pre Covid standards and service with Jetstar's lower prices.
  14. Sorry Big Col you lost me in the first point. Too much complication for the average footy follower. PS Don't give up your potential day job as adviser to Tassie AFL. Four years seems about right for the complicated advice to be understood.
  15. What is your point DC ? It's logical on the front of the guernsey. It's nothing about the chest !! It's featuring what state is represented. A T is also looks good as well.
  16. Two narrow and almost on final siren wins over Hawks and a depleted Swans is a good reward for GWS. But it does not alter the fact that it's list is still in the very much " work in progress" mode. Especially without Sam Taylor on the injured list for a large part of the season. It's team as usual has its stars but most are not at the standard of 2019 except Toby Greene and now Coniglio has returned to near his best. Whitfield ( injury) Kelly ( form) Haynes ( form) are shadows of their previous best IMO. Himmelberg is good but spasmodic and Flynn promising a bright career in the future. They have holes in each line and on ball is very up and down with the other Greene possibly the most reliable each week. Admittedly Jesse Hogan has strengthened the forward line and Bedford may replace Hill in time. They have a chance vs Dogs but won't want to be four goals down again and expect to win. They are not the Pies. And they probably won't kick 17.5 again and Tony may not be BOG to give them a chance with his super talent up against a better back line than the depleted Swans.
  17. Too complicated and most teams are not deserving of playing 5/6 times from Mon to Wed. We need a rest for injury etc. and a chance to live a few days without footy. Too much of it will turn People off and it will be turned into a TV game more than we want and the AFL favour.
  18. No we need a further mid as depth not a flaky forward in the AFL.
  19. No one please not our full time forward answer. But get him those 100 games please. Sub fine.
  20. Why try and fix something that's not broke? Crazy! Fritta is so good because he is our designated 3rd or 4 th forward with a 3rd or 4th defender trying to outs kill some good to reasonable defenders . Most underrated forward in the AFL and so good he is OURS.
  21. Whatever both do this season they will double their output and skill in 2024. Very exciting prospects along with Howes and Laurie who has improved heaps.
  22. Would seem to me he will play a lot liked Fritta. But if he can lead properly he will get some good passes as well.
  23. I think most would agree we field a regular CHF and FF and the Max/BG is an extra with Fritta and 2/3 smalls at times. But I agree the smalls are a potential difference now that the extra in Chin kicks goals and tackles like Kossie and Vines.
