POSTGAME: Match SIM vs Richmond
No AMW needs an opportunity. Different circumstances and must be recognised. AMW hasnât had 3 years in the system and 15/20 games yet. I have a feeling he will get that opp sometime prior to the bye unless Kade starts kicking goals and gets busy. Kade may no ok for depth in any case.

POSTGAME: Match SIM vs Richmond
It wouldnât be the Club making the Fox coverage it would be the AFL as it is dim match wide. Why should the Club have to arrange their coverage if one exists. Well I have said for 2/3 years the Vlub should have a supporters bus leaving day the G or In the City on these days as also AFLW and maybe experiment on VFL days when they donât clash with our AFL match times. A $20 bus trip both ways should be a good start with families $40 each return perhaps. If you get an overflow get a second one in tow.

POSTGAME: Match SIM vs Richmond
Suspect due to Clarryâs recent past we have had to involve AFL for advice and some TLC to perhaps minimize any collateral damage already done. Have absolutely no knowledge of this itâs purely thinking over the big picture scenario of dodging a few bullets maybe. Perhaps Chappy didnât need to be that expansive in his info. Great to see Clarry back on the park enjoying himself which is the biggest take out of the day. Canât understand why so many fans exited the game after the first 4 quarters. Surely another half hour with Clarry involved was not too much to do halfway through the day. When did the players do their signing laps for the fans? Between the firsts and rest games or at end of day when only 1/4 of the crowd were still there? Sorry tv didnât show either time.

POSTGAME: Match SIM vs Richmond
Agree with most of your comments Binman. However I am amazed at the lauding of Kossieâs game today.Yes he started in the huts and was busy and notable but extremely wasteful and selfish on occasions. IMO if he gives the option of a handball or his own kick instead of Fong a 20 m run I have a suspicion the four goals we lost by would have potentially been possible. Itâs a bit different than just radiating between half forward and the goals when you get the ball when you take possession 10m back of the centre circle or even on the forward side. You have to use handball and a penetrating kick to be of value. Not burn others and deliver scrubby ground kicks to leading or running forwards. Thatâs wasteful. Show him the centre bounce scenarios from the bang bang bang third quarter and get him playing team footy and not Kossie keepingâs off attempts at stardom. He only tried the direct once today and still muffed the mark. Letâs get him playing team footy for US and conform to whatever the mids are in our team strategy. And no More ABN and more Salem in the middle. He straightens us up lowers his eyes and is rarely caught in possession. Also the left foot balances out Vineys sometime average disposal and beats opposition attempts to stop his breakaway. He can always be replaced and half back flanked if required.

Daniel Turner to Miss 10 - 12 weeks
I understand your comment that Disco has been a bit of an injury scare ea ch year. Yes it is frustrating moreover for him and the team as our third tall spot is very much a sort of poisoned chalice with Harry quite rightly being given his opportunity up forward to provide a real marking and physical presence for us in the forward part of the ground. But I donât agree with you that Discoâs four games only I think have not been impressive. He was the subject vs Gold Coast to a lot of pressure like our whole 6 defenders that day and given the circumstances they held up manfully to en sag Ute we had a vital win albeit a very close one. Not sure that you judged his last round vs Swans fairly as that showed what Disco could do on his best performance in the red and blue and I was surprised and disappointed that he was dropped for the QF subsequently. I think Simon has starved him of opportunity to get the pace of AFL and more games last and this year should have him cherry ripe for a strong tussle with a rejuvenated Tommo. As we saw with Harry a succession of games is ideal for young players not chopping and replacing them on the run. Now his future is uncertain for a half season and we should have had a backmen ready for AFL by now. Yes his injuries have not helped but itâs how you provide the opportunity to young players as Goody has done for some others that you have another soldier battle hardened. I believe previously Jay Lockhart had all the skill and ability to replace Nev Jetta but again was not handled or shown enough faith in developing his readiness for the battle thatâs AFL footy. Some players are not Judd McVeeâs and adapt instantly and take a little time to fulfil their undoubted potential. I still believe Disco will make a spot as the third or fourth backman but we are running out of chances if he continues to get injured or is not shown faith and opportunities to jell. Fortunately we also have Jed Adams who looks odds on to be Stephies replacement in due course. Disco must grab his opportunity as he is running out of time to show his full talent for our team of the future.

Petracca: "When the pressure mounted... we crumbled"
Glad you clarified that Chook. Nevertheless your post was a little sharp and great to know your in the loop. We can only support the boys and they do try vĂšry hard but they have run out of fit guys still on the park in â22 and last season the forward line was decimated and our replacements didnât take their chances. We can with more options this year and greater skill together makeup for our disappointments, as long as we have enough soldiers to go into the heat of the battle.

If that happens our chances go up about 25% for Ginals and flag.

Are May and Lever better defenders than say Robbie or Fritta or Green Yze etc. I think May deserves a spot for his 4 years especially his last 3. And Jake probably also. Try doing a from 2000 team then compare the players. And vote for the best 10.- Top 10 Dees of the 21st Century
Iâd have Fritta now ahead if Green Bruce and even Yze I think. His 6 goals clinches the deal in the GF.- Top 10 Dees of the 21st Century

Well I went to that Swans game and not my understanding Will watch the replay. Thanks Also donât reckon Harry was up forward when Rooi kicked his 3 goals in the last quarter on Anzac Eve.- PREGAME: Match SIM vs Richmond

With respect Bub you are an impatient supporter. Yes he is frustrating and we only a solid fitness base of Harry bring a class forward line. Yo throw the baby out now would have half of our supporters do a mass murder if Adelaide beat us to the 2025/6 Flag with Petty at CHB. itâs as a forward he offers so much and all other players will rise with him as the talisman. Trust me a forward set up with Petty JVR Jefferson Fritta Kossie McAdam ANB Trac Kolt Clarry at times Gawn occasionally plus Jed Adams as a cameo ( he hasplayed forward in junior footy) if our intensity and pace increases would be unstoppable. Good luck oppositions!! But Harry atm is crucial so letâs get him fit s as nd playing 20 games per season.- Petracca: "When the pressure mounted... we crumbled"
Two years were differing reasons but both disappointing. Chook just go and relax on a desert island and not worry about the Club. You obviously are not up for the good or bad which you get in supporting a footy team. With your level of commitment and enthusiasm I am pretty confident no one will ring you and let you know if or when we win our next Flag or as you say a Final match. Bon voyage and sayonara!!- 2024 AFL RIsing Star Candidates
Hope he makes a few D/L sceptics choke on their weeties. Some do not understand the difference if a pre season especially if the player has done the work not just altered their body shape. Granted he still has to show in the next couple of trials how much improvement he has made. But if Bailey can become like Judd McVee did last season we have another prospect to improve our forward connection. I also thought the last quarter and a bit last year vs Swans was a good guide to some impressive upgrade in form. QF was not his match but you can tell from some highlight reels early with some like The Duke (Windsor) and also I remember Harry Perryâs reel and he looked a defender even then. Now he will without doubt be our forward saviour if fitness permits.- Training Ground?
On Sunday please read the MFC website for the info. No charge also.- 2024 Injury List
When did he play forward vs Sydney and Richmond? If he did it was a very short spell and could hardly be judged as any time Was nowhere near a spell of more than 10mons if I am guessing. And when during those games. Really correctly he played a half vs Hawks And just under half vs Roos at Blundstone ( wouldnât risk too many players there again ) Luckily we donât play there this season. And he got his 6 goals vs Tigers at the G while I was flying home from Heathrow. To clarify he also has played 10 mins vs Lions up forward in our Semi in 2022 we lost by 7 pts. In a brainwave Goody sent Harry forward far too late in the last 10 mins. (Spoiler alert WCW) If he had the flair and dare to risk it he wouldâve been successful IMO that last quarter as Harry took 2 big marks fo1.1 in that time Many Dees fans remember that snd thatâs why there was pressure on Goody to try Harry in 2022 as a forward to solve our problems. Previously Harry was moved during games or may have started as a young player in 2019 before he really hit his big break in 2021 when Tommo also had his ACL injury at the ill fated Blundstone Arena. Fair dinkum I would rather we play at the Cattery than that dodgy surface that they play cricket on also. And while I am talking Goody ( WCW) please donât assume I hate our Coach. Simon is a good coach but who is most importantly loved by our players ( and naturally many of our fans) especially as he will like our 23 players always be regarded as one of the heroes and as the Hun topped its lift out GF review âimmortalsâ. His place in our history is at the moment as our third best ever coach I believe. Neale Daniher was universally very highly regarded and respected but didnât get the flag in 2000 unfortunately. However Goody has time and could easily get another flag or two perhaps if he coaches till say 2028. Now itâs been said by many Dees and other scribes and footy and sports âexperts â that Simon is stubborn and is not a great match day Coach. In other words he is perhaps too slow and inflexible to make changes to the team during games to assist in changing the balance or trend where necessary. I agree with both those assessments over Goodyâs 7 years as our Senior Coach. One other cross that has been mentioned is that we have often started slowly in games two of which no doubt hurt us in performance in VIP games bring Round 23 vs Pies at the G when they jumped us and we missed the Top8 by 0.5% or something and of course last QF the first 10 mins including the monster Maynardâs thuggery also we looked and were lethargic when we needed to be up and running. You may say Simon canât kick the ball for us but itâs happened too many times in his coaching I believe to add to his match day performance assessment. Some will disagree with some of this but a 7 mark as a coach is still very good in the AFL. I believe if he can get us another flag he is an8 and say two more a 9 or 9.5 depending upon circumstances etc. But to say I dislike Simon is completely out of range and not true, we are all judges here at D/L and thatâs what makes this forum so successful and loved and mostly respected by its participants. Yes it seems sometimes harsh but we all are very emotional and passionate supporters. We invest ( not as much time and passion as you do and thank you for all you do. I respect that unconditionally) but reserve the right to disagree strongly where appropriate or good naturedly on other occasions. You call a spade a spade ( or even a shovel occasionally) so itâs open [censored] for tat on occasions. And I wonât be changing my methods. If Simon can get us challenging in 2024 or any future years ( he has done a very good job in 2022/2023 getting Top4 but itâs so tough as Trac mentioned in his podcast little things are going to matter and result in differing opinions. We all reserve our rights to post or comment but I donât think there is a fan in D/L that hates any player or coach or MFC official. You may differ as you seem to have to liaise or meet a lot of differing types that are near the action. Some brilliant and others not so I guess like work. Go Dees. Have a great day Sunday .- 2024 Injury List
You are incorrect. He lives at a SA country town about 500 kms from Adelaide where his parents own a farm. AFC Crows yelled out his name and tried to get him after we sought McAdam. We held Harry up hopefully for next year as well. Time will tell.- 2024 Opening Round Team
Touch wood and I donât really believe that Clarry has a hammy issue any more. That has not been the case since July/ August 2023. He is doing everything right so far in his desire and effort to make a success of 2024, You can see it the way he looks so determined. I wish him all the success he deserves. - Top 10 Dees of the 21st Century
