It's just that I heard someone say after the injury report that so and so played after a week. That may have been just Bruising etc but not the skin tearing etc that appears Jay has been through. Yes I have no doubt your Dad was in great pain with an injury in that area of the body. A friend father-in-law law was involved ina road accident and his prostate was affected and after treatment he didn't rehabilitate and suffered great pain and ended up back in the hospital For further treatment! I myself was circumcised at 12 years of age while in surgery for an undescended testes and my parents decided this was an opportunity too good to miss. Two days of pain followed but now a days you would be asked about that at 12 yrs of age I would have thought.
