Here comes the one good quarter for the giants which will win them the game.

We are a bang average football team.

We just don’t look like a top 4 team at all. Groundhog Day at this point with our conversion.

Trac is just killing us with how bad his disposal is.

Not sure why Pickett thinks his non preferred is so good, just shanked two in a row.

Geez I’d love to see bowza play as a forward, split the middle with that one. BBB has had a pretty good start as well.

If trac could finish off his opportunities he’d be running away with the Brownlow, his conversion has regressed in a serious way.
  8. 'No doubt there tackle pressure and contest work were critical in the last,' if it is so clearly critical and obvious to you now, then why not address the players at 3qt time and stress the urgency of ramping up pressure in the last, from memory geelong had laid 8 tackles in the last before we laid our first. Is anyone else getting annoyed by Goody's press conferences, deflects questions about our flaws focusing on what we did well for however short a time, praises the other team while stating we knew the contest would be tough, identifies learnings to work on for the next game even though they've been the same learnings we've needed to work on for 18 months and haven't really gotten discernibly consistent at executing. Just about every d-lander i reckon knows how these pressers will go before they happen. Just seems like all talk.
  9. I agree in part, but i think its also interesting to note that in the last quarter, geelong only had 1 extra f50 entry and yet outscored us 6 goals to 2, skill errors and inaccuracy are always going to be the fault of the players but our forward structure and the way we deliver the ball seems so incongruous with the personnel we are working with. Maybe i'm barking up the wrong tree, just so frustrating that with the list we have we dish up performances like that way more often than we should.
  10. I think there is serious merit in questioning whether Mark Stafford is up to it as a forwards coach, people who defend him point to our excellent percentage which really has only been built off the back of beating rubbish bottom teams by large margins early in the season. We look so unbelievably impotent going inside forward 50 and our conversion is just shocking. Can't defend stafford in the slightest while our forward line is operating like it is.
  11. Lot of talk about getting to geelong and training with the dimensions and travelling as a team. Just so much talk and no fight or contest to show for it, when the game was there to be won our efforts were pathetic. I love max and maybe its unfair to judge on a wet night, but he isn't close to the multiple all australian ruckman who has been our backbone for the last six years. Goody will get up and say how good geelong were and how we'll learn and work on conversion. All talk and that's all it will be.

Out: Petty, Spargo, Chandler, ANB In: Tomlinson, Woewodin, Harmes, Laurie Angus, Lingers, Kozzy all had bad games and have been off their best, lingers in particular for a while. So tired of us picking blokes on reputation over an actual performance given to the coaches, dropping Tomlinson has proved to be an absolute shocker as most of us thought it was. For Petty to stroll back in and serve that up was horrendous.
  13. Only melbourne can make rohan look like an actual footballer.
  14. On cue indeed hahah.
  15. Our forwards have to be some of the softest footballers, I haven't seen a forward group get done this badly in 1 on 1 contests. They all look immune to having a crack, genuinely pathetic effort from the lot of them.
  16. Tracc has the worst goal sense for a player of his calibre
  17. Can't wait for goody to try and give us some excuse why we still can't convert in front of goal.
  18. Alex Neal-Bullen enjoy next week at casey.
  19. need to win a centre clearance or they are gonna run away with this
  20. Does umpire descent not apply to tom hawkins???? gonna be an excellent day when he retires
  21. Hawkins the little grub is holding steve at every contest.
  22. how is that not flaming deliberate
  23. not the shush celebration πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ
  24. kozzy needs a spell at casey, our worst player out there by a long margin.
  25. It's all good and well to try and bite off the corridor but it'll never be successful while our efficiency is this bad.
