POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Brisbane
Thats the most gutted and upset I've been after any loss this year and its the proudest i've been of the boys effort in a fair while. The intensity and the dare and the will to crack in at the contest i thought was excellent. So frustrating that the game was for the most part officiated out of hands and very frustrating to go goaless in the last quarter but overall the game actually gives me hope going forward.

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne
Based on the recent form of both teams, I'm not gonna be surprised if north run away with it, they scored with ease against the pies and without general rick down back and an underperforming midfield, I could see them being able to score quite efficiently against us. Really hope that won't happen but an illustrious man once said, "hope for the best, prepare for the worst."

POSTGAME: Rd 12 vs Fremantle
All that will happen post that loss is goodwin's usual robotic press conference and a disappointed player interview. We may win a few more matches this season but performances like this will continue to become more frequent. Any change seems impermanent, always talk and never actions. Who's going to take accountability, probably not a single person.

POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs West Coast
I wonder whether mcqualter has had a detrimental impact on our midfield, I don't remember watching such an insipid melbourne midfield for a very long time and I haven't seen one that gets continually beaten regardless of the team we are matched up against. Everything stems from the midfield, poor entries, lack of territory, having to absorb repeat forward 50 entries in defense. It mostly comes back to mids winning the ball and retaining possession. As i said, i believe this is the worst our midfield has ever functioned in recent memory and i imagine the stats would suggest that as well, but why? I genuinely can't understand why this is the case this year and i'm wondering whether it is a coaching issue.

Can anyone else decipher why when the ball hits the deck inside our forward 50 there seems to 4 carlton players immediately on top of it yet it seems more like 1 on 1s when its in our d50, if we cant retain the entries, we're not going to challenge at all. Also can our midfield please get to work, Brisbane game we got smashed out of the centre and from memory the sydney game was a centre clearance demolition. amazing (or maybe it isnt amazing) how much rests on how effective your mids are at the contest.
