Thanks @Demon Forever for all the info lately. You helped make the last couple of days way more entertaining than they otherwise would have been. Shame we missed out this year but lets load up and have another crack at the hump in 12 months. Go Dees!!

That insta comment is either god level trolling or a very exciting clue.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
A future third and we are still paying a "sizeable" portion of clarry's salary, that is nothing but an insult. If we have to pay half his salary still, we have to be pursuing their first rounder. A future third should only maybe be accepted on the proviso that GWS take the whole contract.

Well let’s hold petracca and we can do this dance all over again in 12 months and try again to swap tracc for Humphrey.

So if the mail given to us is good (and I am not doubting it), Bailey has had at least two separate meetings with the club as well as the medical. As we can all agree those arent the actions of someone who wants to stay at his current club, or at the very least the acts of someone seriously entertaining a move. So it would seem odd for the manager to come out and shut the trade down? If the presumption about Bailey wanting out is true, wouldnt that logically mean he has communicated that to his manager who would then be advocating for his move away from the club. Would be an odd move for a manager to take a contradictory approach to what his client wants? Maybe its wishful thinking but im hoping the manager interview is an attempt to set the foundation for a publicly advertised intention to request a trade.

Whatever happens, I’m at the very least looking forward to once again being a productive member of society when this all finishes tomorrow night and not having to refresh this thread every 5 minutes.

Sorry, the centre ball up 🤮

Welcome to Demonland: Max Heath
At least Melbourne fans will still be able to yell out "Come on Maxxy!!" at centre bounces for the next 15 years. Something poetic about Max eventually handing over the reins to Max.

Under no circumstances do we do a deal for 7 and 8. Why would we accept that when tracc unlocks humphrey. Hope the deebrief have bad mail.

Sam Flanders
I know this probably wouldnt happen but part of me is hoping GC say to Flanders, we accept you want to leave but at least nominate melbourne so we can get a deal done for petracca.

Someone who "categorically isnt going anywhere" doesnt go for a walk around the tan with an oppo head coach and line coach.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
Clarry's year by averages: Disposals: 25.5 (above afl average) Kicks: 10.8 (above afl average) Handballs: 14.7 (elite according to afl metric) marks: 2.9 (below afl average) tackles: 5.4 (well above afl average) clearance: 5.5 (well above afl average) I know that these stats in a vacuum are not entirely indicative but assertions that clayton isnt giving us any output or doesnt have value are just ridiculous. You can have as many smooth movers transitioning the ball fast on the outside, but you still need one or two guys to go and win a hard ball in and under. Winning the ball at contest is still what gives you the edge in big games and finals. Letting clayton go would take the cake in diabolically bad MFC list decisions. Hoping this is just media beat up.

2025 Player Reviews: #19 Harvey Langford
Ridiculously underrated by the league, his finish in the rising star demonstrates that. He's far more valuable than murphy reid (but maybe i'm biased). Given how impressive he was in just his first year, I can't wait to see what he does next year and beyond. Definitely the future of our midfield.

Farewell Judd McVee
I'm excited for Andy Moniz Wakefield in the attacking half back role. His game against Brisbane last year was a very encouraging sign that we've got a good player. I mean he was BOG in the praccy match against North early this year before he got injured late in that game. As long he stays injury free, he could have a big year and easily replace Judd.

Farewell Judd McVee
The Jackson move never sat right with me and this one feels worse to me in some regards. I appreciate that some are more circumspect and i'm already of the opinion that AMW will be able to be that attacking half back. Imo, I think blatantly lying to ghosty and danny is absolutely reprehensible and not something i'll forget anytime soon. Loyalty and repaying the faith are clearly a dying concept. Good riddance Judd.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
It isn't abundantly clear whether King and trac have had a meeting yet although i get the sense this is yet to occur. If he still wants to go after talking with King i'll be disappointed but more comfortable with him leaving. I think king will want him to stay and will convince him to stay.

Your right werridee, was just being a tad facetious. Is there a world where we can end up with pick 6 and flanders in addition to not paying anymore of tracs contract. Probably a little far fetched but in my mind a pretty good outcome for us?
