POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs Brisbane
We're like an amateur golfer, we finally figured out how to hit straight off the tee but we lost all semblance of a short game. It's hopefully coming soon but when our defence is on, our midfield is firing and the forward line is converting and accurate, we're gonna take some serious stopping.

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs GWS
Totally agree, it is tiresome how blindly goody is defended by some especially given our form line and the obvious deficiencies in our game. I will be forever grateful for his efforts in 2021 but the consistent sub-par performances we are churning out has to put pressure on the coach because at the end of the day, the buck starts and stops with him.

Goody is in dangerous territory of doing what Beverage has done to the dogs, keeps his job after a flag but then screws up a good list in a premiership window because he can't adapt a gamestyle or system that can actually win games of football. Said in post game last week that it is all talk with goody and that no tangible change will ever happen and he's proving me right, we can all see what is happening in front of us including him and yet it actually looks like we're getting worse. He'll talk about how that was the game we expected and GWS were good and that there are learnings to take from it, same thing over and over and we'll continue to lose the exact same way and continue to be inefficient entering the forward 50 and trying to convert, All talk zero walk.

POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs Geelong
'No doubt there tackle pressure and contest work were critical in the last,' if it is so clearly critical and obvious to you now, then why not address the players at 3qt time and stress the urgency of ramping up pressure in the last, from memory geelong had laid 8 tackles in the last before we laid our first. Is anyone else getting annoyed by Goody's press conferences, deflects questions about our flaws focusing on what we did well for however short a time, praises the other team while stating we knew the contest would be tough, identifies learnings to work on for the next game even though they've been the same learnings we've needed to work on for 18 months and haven't really gotten discernibly consistent at executing. Just about every d-lander i reckon knows how these pressers will go before they happen. Just seems like all talk.

I agree in part, but i think its also interesting to note that in the last quarter, geelong only had 1 extra f50 entry and yet outscored us 6 goals to 2, skill errors and inaccuracy are always going to be the fault of the players but our forward structure and the way we deliver the ball seems so incongruous with the personnel we are working with. Maybe i'm barking up the wrong tree, just so frustrating that with the list we have we dish up performances like that way more often than we should.

I think there is serious merit in questioning whether Mark Stafford is up to it as a forwards coach, people who defend him point to our excellent percentage which really has only been built off the back of beating rubbish bottom teams by large margins early in the season. We look so unbelievably impotent going inside forward 50 and our conversion is just shocking. Can't defend stafford in the slightest while our forward line is operating like it is.

Lot of talk about getting to geelong and training with the dimensions and travelling as a team. Just so much talk and no fight or contest to show for it, when the game was there to be won our efforts were pathetic. I love max and maybe its unfair to judge on a wet night, but he isn't close to the multiple all australian ruckman who has been our backbone for the last six years. Goody will get up and say how good geelong were and how we'll learn and work on conversion. All talk and that's all it will be.

PREGAME: Rd 16 vs GWS
Out: Petty, Spargo, Chandler, ANB In: Tomlinson, Woewodin, Harmes, Laurie Angus, Lingers, Kozzy all had bad games and have been off their best, lingers in particular for a while. So tired of us picking blokes on reputation over an actual performance given to the coaches, dropping Tomlinson has proved to be an absolute shocker as most of us thought it was. For Petty to stroll back in and serve that up was horrendous.
