I have to say, I love the ruck change. I think having to rely on wrestling in the ruck is a second rate hack move and I think our ruck stocks will only benefit from the change. Means that Grundy will actually have to make a play on the ball when we come up against sydney and I think he won't have any idea how to combat Max now.

5-10 minutes saved per game won't be the difference in helping thousands more fans to tune in. Those that are watching are watching and those that aren't won't just because of these changes. Most of these changes seem unnecessarily arbitrary and will only make the overall product worse given umpiring adjudication will be annoyingly inconsistent.

Never thought id see the day where transparency and clear communication was criticised. Our corporate leadership has been far too timid and uncommunicative for too long. So if the mail given to us is good (and I am not doubting it), Bailey has had at least two separate meetings with the club as well as the medical. As we can all agree those arent the actions of someone who wants to stay at his current club, or at the very least the acts of someone seriously entertaining a move. So it would seem odd for the manager to come out and shut the trade down? If the presumption about Bailey wanting out is true, wouldnt that logically mean he has communicated that to his manager who would then be advocating for his move away from the club. Would be an odd move for a manager to take a contradictory approach to what his client wants? Maybe its wishful thinking but im hoping the manager interview is an attempt to set the foundation for a publicly advertised intention to request a trade.

Whatever happens, I’m at the very least looking forward to once again being a productive member of society when this all finishes tomorrow night and not having to refresh this thread every 5 minutes.

You can have as many smooth movers transitioning the ball fast on the outside, but you still need one or two guys to go and win a hard ball in and under. Winning the ball at contest is still what gives you the edge in big games and finals. Letting clayton go would take the cake in diabolically bad MFC list decisions. Hoping this is just media beat up.
