  1. Unfortunately it didnt work with TMc...
  2. Do you have crystal balls?
  3. 6. Oliver 5. Brayshaw 4. Gawn 3. Langdon 2. Fritsch 1. Petracca
  4. Trac must have heard my sons comment on how inept he had been at times coz he then kicked 2.!!!!! I am amazed at how loosely they play on him (Trac, not my son). And could someone tell me where do I find the "Do anything you like to Viney" in the rule book?
  5. He is very versatile and creative with the use of crutches.
  6. Where is Melksham......
  7. Is it too early to have a drinkie to calm the nerves? Go Dees.
  8. He promised to get it right next time?
  9. Angkor? Perhaps not. What i am trying to suggest is that the influence (and mouth) of the father can be a major distraction (Moore, West come to mind). Previously the son came at a discount but with the points system you have to pay market value and the benefit now is you do not have to go though the lottery of the draft. I worked with a chap who was briefly on the Collingwood list in the early 80's. Wes Fellowes was starting out and his father Graeme was at training all the time, yelling instructions, calling him over to the boundary etc. Lets just say that this did not improve Wes's standing with the playing group. Then again Wes did win a Dopeland trophy.
  10. I don't mind the sons at all, it is the fathers banging on in social media or training from the over the fence that could be a worry.
  11. I hope they dont succeed this year
  12. Rab, it is your lucky day. The Sun is over the yard arm early in FNQ. the MRS has had enough of the Dry Season and has hitched up the trailer and gone to the Shop of Bottles. Can you imagine coaching Collingwood; everyone with a modicum of talent gets promoted to superstar, hence big $$$$. 3? father sons who cannot be touched, and the fathers will have the daggers out, and will be leaning over the fence at training counter-coaching. Pendles, rustybum, cox, grundy are probably no longer at their prime. And there is the Board. In short Carltank list is closer to success. Gotta go, the Mrs is struggling to get the truck up the drive way. Big nite.
  13. Has the question been answered? Beelzebub?
  14. Didnt the Sydney Board try to get Terry Wallet but the players wanted Roos? Carltons list is better from 2 years ago, it could be a good gig for someone.
  15. Disappointed you didn't mention 'Boy' Bolton; here is a club that has appointed 2 coaches who never played the game at the top level, which is something the players have over them.
  16. He (Dew) probably needed surgery when he got to the Hawks - stomach surgery. (When Clarkson picked him didnt he ring and ask if they had seen a recent photo)
  17. Have the Cats worked out who was on Spargo yet?
  18. I thought the 2nd quarter turned when our mid field went missing. Dangers goal was 55m and that is very hard to defend against. Hawkins off the ground was fortunate.
  19. Rick? Lever... is that his nickname? Anyway we should have a red hot crack at Cerra just to put the price up.
  20. Yep, ANB, Rivers and Spargo really got themselves into the game after half time. (Up until then they were in my list of possible changes for next week). Still smiling!
  21. No tbh I think the fairy tale was getting him to 300 games. Luv the bloke though
  22. I was 8 yrs, 4 months and 10 days. We sat front row, top deck, old Olympic Stand, up against the MCC fence. My best friend from over the road came with us. The only memory which I am sure is my own was jumping in the air with excitement and relief when we won.
  23. I had some fondness for Carlton and North because of Barassi. And some of my mates followed the Tigers so I was on that bandwagon in the 70's. And there is much goodwill to the MFC simply because we are called Melbourne. All aboard.
  24. Nah, Bowey doesn't look that old, he looks like an Auskicker...I half expect him to pick up the ball and go home if he doesn't get a kick. Great football brain. Go Dees.
