Best Player to wear #24 since 1964.
Robbo would have been even greater if he kept his feet.

Best Player to wear #24 since 1964.
He was certainly on my radar when I was a kid. One of those all round sports who excelled at football and cricket. He played in those days when a knee injury was the end of many a promising career.

Best Player to wear #24 since 1964.
Here is a list of MFC players to wear #24 since 1964, courtesy of Demonwiki. There are some interesting names there, but not a lot of games wearing #24, or games for that matter. Note that Ian Ridley is just outside the date range. Ross Dillon Wayne Delmenico Graham Osborne Kelvin Richards Tony Martyn Des O'Dwyer Steven McCarthy Brett Bailey Luke Beveridge Phil Gilbert Clay Sampson Russell Robertson Liam Jurrah Jay Kennedy Harris Trent Rivers I think there is no doubt that Robbo is the standout, but then Dillon and Jurrah? What do you think?

2022 Membership
Just got the email for preferences in my membership pack. I went scarf, plastic card with Daisy on it. Scarf is ridiculous for FNQ but I have 6 caps already.

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
Sure did. I watched the 2nd quarter to bring myself down to earth, then watched the 3rd and 4th quarters which got me back right up. I didn't think the Dogs back 6 had a good game (Cough up) but Sparrow kicked his goal unmarked at CHF, and in the 4th Jacko and TMc did similar. What was the dogs defensive play? Commentators said the Dogs were short a back man and with Wood pulling the pin asap they are now short 2. Also in Bevos Blink of an Eye interview, he seemed very disappointed that the momentum was still with the Dees immediately after 3 quarter time break.

Original 1939 Melbourne souvenir pennant.
4 years ago when I was moving house I took most of my MFC memorabilia to the local Collectibles shop. The chap running it said (naturally) that of all the AFL sides, MFC had the lowest demand. memory is somewhat hazy but I didnt make big $$$ out of the stuff so your pennant say $20. Then again the market should be hot for MFC so you may do better.

Dermott’s 2022 flag prediction
Not getting to the wrong side of 30, they are the wrong side. Prestia is 29 and someone called Lambert is 30, Martin 31. Who else do they run through the mid field? Still they could probably do a Geelong and make finals. Need Dusty to fire.

New Board Member Sally Freeman
Might seem like a dumb question but is Sally a fanatical Dees supporter?

Welcome to Demonland: Taj Woewodin
Woey sounds great and I hope he has a successful career with the Dees. My only worry is that no other club? seems interested.

Who needs a big preseason at the MFC?
I would play a very physical (modern word for biff) game on Fritta.

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
And most of the football world agree with you. Many commentators were left speechless and stunned. They could not comprehend what they had witnessed. The AGE described it as the best GF 3rd quarter ever.

Farewell Shannon Byrnes
Mission completed. Job well done. Thankyou. Not sure nev jetta would have been the best fit. I think he needed to go to another club like Yze did and come back triumphant. But why the pies......

Flag Hangover
Port did. I remember the commentators saying they were happy with just the one.

Welcome to Demonland: James Jordon
Now I have only watched the first quarter. JJ had 10 disposals, had a hand in the Swans first 2 goals, disposal by foot was terrible but did dish out some good hand passes. On to the second quarter.

Those who left on bad terms...
I don't think the Cordners liked him. Back in the 1930s some players only source of income was playing footy and if they were taken out of the game for a couple of weeks it made it very hard on their families. The other obvious player who left on bad terms is Stephen Powell who walked out on the club and went to St Kilda!!!!! for free!!!! Great to see him with Neale and the boys and the cup.

Welcome to Demonland: James Jordon
Can anyone suggest a game or two that shows James Jordon at his best this year? I have some spare time......
