  1. One thing I can tell you, the images on the 'Big Screen' at Cazaly are smaller than the actual players
  2. Played dumb footy for the conditions; when the wind dropped at half time we went ok. Back 6 were terrible; Swans knew how to play the Weid; dont let him crunch the pack, crunch him in the pack.
  3. Time to hang up the boots
  4. MFC - Played Dumb Footy
  5. Gates open in 1 hour. Nearly ready to head off. Nights have been cool so wearing long pants for the first time in 6 months. It is currently warm and windy. I am not excited, I'm hysterical. Now c'mon the Dees.
  6. It's raining and cold here at the moment. Can I just say I've got tickets?

Past : Tassie Johnson, Robbie Flower defied the laws of motion, Lyon for leadership, Neitz we took for granted - Wiz and Jako for entertainment Current : Trac has turned into the player we all hoped for, Salem cool as a cucumber
  8. Conspiracy theories.....ummm yes; the Prime Minister, Mr D Andrews has directed the umpires to favour those clubs with working class (coal mining) roots. What about the Swannies you may ask? Most of the directors own a coal mine. Another quiet day in TNQ.
  9. Hope I can get tickets to the Cairns games
  10. Against Norf the whole team was smiling; haven't seen such a happy Dees bunch in a long time. If you are ever feeling flat watch the last quarter.
  11. I think it is a bit rich coming from Wallace who's club made many do a long apprenticeship in the magoos before selection.
  12. Already one of our best trades in ages. Has pace and endurance, works up and down the ground really hard.
  13. If memory serves me correct they will be saying "That wasn't Hawthorn out there today"

I thought we pushed that button back in the 70's
  15. If i remember we started really flat in that game, which surely must be preparation....
  16. he is there as rover
  17. Ted Fidge; I have a memory vs Richmond, ball down Punt Rd end, Ted on the members wing (right in front of me), when a Richmond player pointed to his chin and asked Ted to have a go....gee there was alot of blood. Anyway back on topic what about Jamie Duursma...played on Dermot 2 weeks running and did the job, did a job on Kernahan in a final; not a great player but played some great games
  18. I also remember Big Carl throwing a wild back hander and collecting one of our own, Kelly O'Donnell
  19. Didn't we hire Northey simply because he was the cheapest. Northey for mine considering our recruiting was tripe.
  20. The original measure was borrowed from Collingwood
  21. I used to like? 3GL.... Ump bounces the ball, big tap by Polly, Goggin charging through, Walker gets to it, great spoil by West..... Goal to Melbourne Bad luck cats, 2 free kicks missed.....
  22. Might be getting the shows mixed up but Jack Edwards, Ted Whitten, Allan Aylett come to mind, Potter from the pies?
  23. Oh bother...should have asked the fella himself when I saw him in that new cafe in Murrumbeena before Xmas...(made my day)
  24. I think Hibberd, the Weid, ANB and Jones may struggle for a game. OMc would prefer on 3rd tall. I like Petty because he plays with some niggle. If Joel or Aaron get fit we should play them because they can get injured looking in the mirror. Hore and Lockhart should force their way in somehow.
  25. I am quoting from schoolboy memory 'Oh judgement thou art fled to brutish beasts and men have lost their reason' JC by Will
