THE NEW IMMORTALS by Whispering Jack
Fritta and Turner replied to Demonland's topic in Special Features
You deserve the Norm Smith for that....I've read many wine labels - I have to do this as I once purchased a bottle at 0% alc. Does the club still have a boot studder or doorman? Immortals... And that young Dr? on the bench who seems totally disengaged from his surroundings (theres a seagull in the goal square)...cool under fire? Or Mark Williams who looked like he was watching paint dry when TMc benched that loser over the line. All deserve some accolade.... -
I cant see Melksham getting there, Hibberd perhaps.... Of the others Jake Lever obviously but May is going to need close to 3 seasons. Probably depends on how many times he accidently gets injured playing on Hawkins.

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs

Really Daemonstein? Don't get me started on Hibbard, Hibbert, Hibbart, Hippo...oh dog droppings I think I have started myself.... (Are we at 100 pages yet) -
Assuming there is no major unknown issue, then being on the outer is a failure by the coach? Remember the likes of Pagan who would talk up everyone..... I dont know enough of other teams to assess his ability but I would be giving him a run as soon as form permits. That said 5-10 games would be a good result for Luke. (and no I am not excited I have to mow the lawn)

Got heaps of merch for Xmas, only one double up.....and a happy new year to everyone

Well I have been scouring the shops for the MFC calendar and the ones that I can find in the shops are typically Collingwood, Carlton, Bulldogs, Hawks, Saints....found 1 MFC thanks very much, which means they sell...whilst a retailer may want to sell the maximum number, like the country bakery, the trick is to have none left at closing time. MFC fills that criteria.

Saturday Morning on Demonland (11)
Fritta and Turner replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Was that the demetriou that got Jackson in, funded his $$$ requests, then told the MFC board to go sack themselves and got Bartlett in? If so I am glad we were treated differently. Ultimately players make the culture of a club. The club can facilitate cultural growth but some cant distinguish between cow pats and dynamic lifter. -
For some reason I am thinking a genetically engineered banana. Think I will stay out of this thread.

What they're saying about Max elsewhere
Fritta and Turner replied to Queanbeyan Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
It is not infuriating it is hilarious. Score board, score board. Then again as my late father could have said - I thought we should have won by 80. -
Actually Easton Wood was on Fritta for those 2. Cordy stood TMc, Brown and Gawn mainly. Didnt EW play to form - played in front and got jumped over, played behind and was left in the dust.

Is Melbourne's midfield one of the best of all time?
Fritta and Turner replied to FlashInThePan's topic in Melbourne Demons
Slight exaggeration surely - the Bont wasn't even on the ground when we kicked the Fritta, Fritta, Browns... -

Mays opponent lived up to his name, had Naught impact on the game....we won by 74 points; what else was may supposed to do.... -
There is absolute scum out there

Trac is probably better but Clarrie is the most important to the side -

I tend to agree with you CYB, except for the fact that we won by 74 points.....Admittedly Libba had a shocker...which goes to show it is a team game... (If I really cared my worries for the Dogs is that by the time the young tall timber comes online the mids will be too old - and their backline is very ordinary..) -
and that is what he said in his presser; it wasn't that the Dees had the momentum but that the Dogs let it continue in the last. He let slip something there... whatever was said at 3 quarter time it wasn't believed

Were you really sure? 😁

"7000 Mile Kick" MFC's 1963 end of season trip
Fritta and Turner replied to Wizard of Koz's topic in Melbourne Demons
Back in the 60's our family hosted my cousins engagement party, which meant us kids were on cleaning duties for a week. To make the place look more 'sophisticated' a number of posters were put up on the wall, one of them being a shot of the team on the tarmac in front of the plane that took them to/from Hawaii. Believe it or not.
