List changes who do we cut, trade or go after.
i think ANB just needs to go to Spec Savers. No one naturally fumbles that much unless he has a sight problem. Does he have a dog?

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
If there is a better free agent out there that we are not already chasing, please let me know. Otherwise, Just do it. The fact that he has been good enough to retain his place for 80 out of a possible 81 games in a team as strong as the giants, including a number of finals, makes him a class above a large number on our current list. Surely it’s a no-brainer.

Any trade that gets Salem “up the ground” would be a good one.

Rawlings Leaves
Question Red. Are we asking them to move on, or are they leaving us? Big difference I’d suggest.

Rawlings Leaves
All the best Jade - thank you for all you have done - maybe we will see you back as our senior coach one day.

Brayshaw a Better Player After 2019
FFS, I read that article and think just how deluded are these guys. Oliver, Brayshaw, Viney and Harmes have egos the size of the MCG and despite the magnificent efforts of Max, these midfielders have been abysmal for us this year. These are the guys that should be setting the standards for the team. Come to think of it, maybe they did. A huge dose of tough love from the coaching staff is required.

2020 predictions
After a disastrous set of predictions for 2019, I’m predicting that I won’t make any 2020 predictions.

TRAINING: Wednesday, August 21, 2019
It would be just like MFC to thrash North on Saturday showing the form we wanted to see all year.

Jack Viney
I think Jack is a very limited football player. The only role that I think fits the skill set he does have is a run with / shut down role. Mind you, he would need to leave his ego back in the change room for him to play this role well. But with no ego, I believe he could well become one of the best shut down players in the comp. Of course, all this assumes he is fit.

Roos: Lazy Dees
Lyon is blessed with a very public forum to express his views. And those views simply express the bitter disappointment he feels towards the current set up at the club he shed blood and tears for. Who could blame him? Thank god most of us DL’s don’t have that same public forum - the tone would be a hell of a lot worse. I’m sure however that Lyon doesn’t believe that we “will never come good”.

Demonland Podcast featuring Bayley Fritsch 13/8 @ 8:30pm
Question for Bayley - what's his diet secret for keeping so slim? - i need to try it. Also, if he needs to put on some weight, I have a proven technique to do so. Thank you.

PREGAME: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
How must Hore be feeling after 2 or 3 very good games at Casey, to still be behind Oscar in the pecking order - for god knows what reason. To miss out on playing against his old club must be adding to his frustration. Can someone please justify his non selection?
-
PREGAME: Rd 20 vs Richmond
I am shocked that Hore is not in and that OMac remains in. But 2019 has been shocking anyway, so I guess no surprise.

David King puts the Boot ? in
I have a theory about our demise this year, and it all revolves around “confidence” ( and a little about injury) Our game plan revolves around “attack”, but we simply do not or can not set up defensively behind the ball when we take it forward. Our attacking players now have the added pressure of knowing that if they miss a target, no one is set up defensively behind them, and it’s most likely the opposition will freely rebound and score a goal. Instead of feeling confident someone has their back, they are simply facing a life and death situation every time they dispose of the ball. In short they sh it themselves and boy does it show. When Roos came to the club his game plan was based on defence. And he slowly taught us how to attack only once we knew how to defend. I think our game plan has put aside the defensive skills (behind the ball) in preference for all out attack - which can only work if we hit our targets. My solution for the rest of the year would be to concentrate on defensive set ups behind the ball, and therefore provide the player forcing an attacking play with the confidence that if he does miss a target , it ain’t gonna be the end of the world. No team of afl standard footballers displays the abysmal skills that our team has displayed this year - not without a valid reason. Our players are not unskillful - they are simply displaying those traits. I think that is due to a lack of confidence, due to defensive faults in our game plan. For what it’s worth. -

New game plan
I’m no Level 4 coach so forgive me if I am missing something, but my game plan would be: 1. Win the ball 2. Hit a target 3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 I know it’s a bit complicated, so it will take a bit of adjusting to, but I reckon we’ve got about 6 months to adapt for next season. Happy if someone wants to pass this onto Goody.
