I don't remember what year or years it was but Jack was played down back with us with some success - particularly the first couple of games he played there. I don't believe Roos or Goodwin have anything to answer for with regards Jack.

After all the preceding comments, surely we have to be asking ourselves 2 key questions: 1. Is Goodwin the right guy? 2. WTF did we sack Jack Watts? Seriously though, it’s loses like yesterday’s that has prevented our membership numbers from growing substantially. 70K is a pipe dream until this type of perfomance is eliminated. You have to trust in something before you want to belong to it.

I think we should be aiming for at least one better than last year - ie win a prelim final. Why should a pass mark be any less than this?

My best wishes to Jesse for a speedy recovery. At Melbourne he was the one player that inspired our recovery from a dismal side and the one player who first gave us supporters hope that we were on the right path to becoming a AFL force again. And now, although at another club, I couldn’t be happier than to see him become the true champion that we all aspire him to be.

What concern is that to you? Hogan’s private life should be private, and not really relevant to us any more.

I’d like to see a new role for Lewis once May is able to take over the “general” role in our backline. We don’t have a general in our forward line and I believe he could well play that role. Just a thought.

In each of the years 2013, 2015, and 2017 Max only played 13 games. praying that sequence doesn’t continue in 2019.

Binman, I'm sure May now does feel remorse for what has happened, despite my previous light hearted comment. But what's done is done, and all the chat in the world won't change the outcome unfortunately. Personally, if that's the worst thing that happens to Melbourne this year i'll be a happy man. As Wiseblood said earlier "Round 1 can't get here quickly enough"

The opposition player was not watching where he was going. I think May probably thought that the player would look up and avoid May - but he didn't till it was too late. Mind you, if May missed his chin and only collected as far up as his upper chest, the players chin would have gone forward initially, then back. If he struck the chin at all the head would have gone back straight away. judge for yourselves
