I know you loved your first live game in 2 years Old Dee, but I hope you have gone home by now, and are not still posting from the ground!

Sorry its off topic, but Boots, Jack had his two brothers (one named Max) and Wines as his groomsmen, not Gawny and Oliver.

And I always thought you knew nothing!!

Bradtke surprised me - thought he did a pretty good job for most of the game, including some nice grabs. The backline in general was very solid. Bowey excellent first half, bit quieter in the second half. Joel Smith also very pleasing with his marking, defensive work and his kicking (!!!).

Based on what AlanRichardson said about AVB on a club interview a couple of weeks ago - something like “the selectors believe that we are a better team with AVB in it” - I don’t think there is too much doubt that if his form warrants it, AVB will be in the team.

What they are saying at St Vincent Street

Loved this - "everyone forward of full back was dog sh*t." -
I don’t think anyone has mentioned Eddie yet. To me, he is the worst of them all, by a long way.

Probably no change is a good statement, but I’d prefer to give Harmes and ANB a chance to find their mojo again back at Casey. Depending on continued form this week at Casey, I’d like to see AVB and either Bowey or Melksham come in.

Local media pundits not taking MFC as a serious threat.

Congrats on the sobriety. -
I know he’s a good player, but having watched South Park, I have to force myself not to smile every time his name is mentioned.

I used to excuse your obnoxious nighttime posts as just the Merlot talking. I was obviously wrong about the Merlot. -

You talking about Dr D or simply looking in the mirror? -
My god Dazz, don't let Dr D see this comment ffs!

I'm really looking forward to the battle of the wingers - Langdon and Brayshaw/Jordon vs Whitfield and Kelly

Titan, I think an in-form and fit AVB would be required in our best 22 - for the hardness and pressure he displays and how he brings other players into the game. Despite what you say, he does have a good tank and a good turn of speed and a good football brain. (His disposal has let him down at times in the past, but he certainly wouldn't be the worst in the team in that regard, by any means). I think that Goody, having watched the Casey game live, would have come away absolutely wrapped with what he saw from AVB - and another 2 or 3 weeks of similar or better form, Goody will most likely have him back in the 22.

No disrespect BDA, but none of us on here know anything about Sam for sure, except what is obvious - that he is completely out of form and lacking a shred of confidence. As such, I have every confidence that the Club will do whatever it needs to do to help him find his mojo again. And I also have no doubts that he will do just that - but that part is just my opinion. Talk of trading him, or that he needs to leave the MFC to come good, or that he may need to quit football for his mental health, is, at this stage, just so over the top IMO, and really just reeks of the over expectations our supporters have for anyone that comes to this Club with a KPF label. Look at what happened with Watts, look at Hogan, and look at Sam - and heaven forbid if BBB should play a few bad games. They have far more external pressure placed upon them than any other type of recruit. I would be more worried about Sam if he didn’t show his disappointment at his own form. It shows he has high expectations, and also shows that he knows he has the ability to perform on the big stage - again my opinion. But FFS, we have played 13 games this year without an in-form KPF and low and behold we have won 11 of them. I shudder to think what we will be like when Sam or Ben start to fire.

I certainly don’t wish to make light of the effects of covid, but after listening to BT call the game tonight, thank god its killed off Roaming Brian.

Love the way Daisy is providing comments that contradict the idiots she has to share the booth with.

Titan, I'm not sure of the plan that D was referring to, but the red cross on the map below shows the length and width of the MCG playing area (162m x 139m) overlaid on Gosch's. (Taken from Google Earth)

That’s good to know, because after your previous comment to me that “You really should stick to petrol sniffing”, I was beginning to question whether in fact the fumes had affected my thinking.

Haha, I’d say the chance of this happening is 0%, unless 5 + 5 + 1 does in fact equal 9 - or am I missing something?

Anybody else just having a pie and sauce and a few ales? Or am I the only black sheep on here? (I mean, quiche and tea cake! Really? )

The Cats only had 10 No. 30+ year olds playing last night - they may now have their eyes on another one for next year.
