  1. You've completely lost me mate. Try again
  2. First post and already complaining! Haha you’ll fit in just fine here. Welcome NightWalker.
  3. It’s Clary’s 100 game. Both he and we deserve to celebrate that milestone at the G. FO Essendon.
  4. Do you? Given that so many on here were ready to label him the second coming based on absolutely no exposed form, why would you find it funny that people are jumping off the bandwagon after actually seeing him play? while I hope he does become a decent player one day - it just ain’t today. As others have stated, he looks a long way off it at this point in time.
  5. While my father played for the swans, it was only because of the inspirational Ronald Dale Barassi that I started following the Dees. You bast ard Ron!
  6. We have a great Mod called Andy, Code of Conduct his Modus Operandi But often with words, The lines get blurred, When they do, he's our vigilant vigilante.
  7. I agree Demonstone, why do we need a whipping boy! We already have a coach!
  8. Unfortunately I jinxed the ladies. New headline: ”Deadeye Dogs Devour Dodgy Dees”
  9. Good luck today ladies. By the end of the day, I hope to see the following headline: ”Devastating Demons Destroy Disappointing Dogs”
  10. One key element of any successful business 58er is communication. The club should be communicating to its members - not the other way around! They want our money, yet treat us with disrespect. Just not professional enough in my view, and must improve.
  11. Interesting that Max - on his and Gus's podcast - went to great lengths to talk up Deakyn Smith - "he can really play" - with what sounded like a plea to have him drafted. But not one word about Kobe though. Perhaps we DLanders have been hyping the wrong player (?)
  12. I think one consequence of this rule change will be that, with the man on the mark anchored, it may well be so much easier to determine when the player with the ball moves off his mark, and hence many more play ons will be called, as opposed to 50m penalties imposed.
  13. Of course they did Old Dee. Haha. I would never have guessed you’d think the worst in this situation.
  14. With the greatest respect Old Dee, can I ask why your posts are always so negative? (And I don’t want to hear about the last dreadful 56 years again!) I love DL - I can always get some facts, a lot of BS, and some laughs - all of which I enjoy. I even enjoy the kooks on here. But when every post from a lovely old man is always so negative, it’s such a downer.(and I have no wish to turn you off - just want more “up-beatness” In your tone). just once I’d luv to hear you say something positive. And that does not include you saying that you’re positive that you are a pessimist!
  15. Luci, I would think that based on public knowledge of events past, the vast majority of people would say that Eddie had to go - that the Club would now be better off without him. And the realization of that fact, given the size of his ego, must be such a humiliating, devastating and earth shattering awakening for Eddie, you have got to wonder how this will affect his mental health. I hope he has close friends and family supporting him in this regard. Given that we have all got what we had hoped for - and we have had our say on the matter - perhaps its now time to be more considerate of his state of mind - there is no honour in kicking a man when he is down.
  16. We really don't have much to talk about, do we!
  17. As the high profile leader, he should have immediately stepped down when Collingwood received the report back in December - but he didn't. He had a second opportunity after his "proud day" gaff - and again he didn't step down. As a result of the public backlash and his inaction, it is my belief that he has been forced to step down - most likely by the sponsors'. Had he stepped down when the report was received, he would have left with public respect for accepting the blame. Had he stepped down after "proud day" the public would have acknowledged that he does finally "get it" and he would have left with some shred of dignity. Instead he had to be pushed out - so he is now as ex president with his reputation in complete tatters, likely to be forever labelled as a racist (or for condoning racism), and whatever good he did for Collingwood over those 22 years probably now forgotten by most, except perhaps for the die-hard Collingwood fans. I agree - it's a sad, humiliating day for Eddie.
  18. Great effort ladies! Congrats. I’ll let the coaches focus on where improvements lie - I’m just thrilled with another win. Go girls!
  19. Not me Binny - no way - I'm the one taking the pic.
