Two points: - - You don’t get a lot of favours when you finish 14th. - last season many posters were complaining about night games being too late a night, especially taking the kids etc, and wishing we had more afternoon games. Well we have the afternoon games now and there are still complaints. Guess you can’t please everyone.

I think Jeffo’s development will very much depend on how we enter the forward 50. If we bomb it in long, his development will be long and slow - if at all. However, if we lower our eyes and look for a leading forward, then his development will be significantly quicker - due to his pace, leading skills and footy IQ. He looks far more skilful than JVR, but lacks his aggression. If we play the smart forward entry game, I think these two will be a great pair, complementing each other nicely.

I caught a piece on the news that stated that Zurich insurance are holding up the insurance payout to Gus. The statement said that the discussions were at a stalemate and we’re going nowhere. If true, I think that is disgusting by Zurich, and I certainly won’t be supporting them - club sponsor or not. Has anyone else heard or know more about this?

Thanks Luci, I had a similar thought. Even last year, how often did Langdon, and to a lesser extent Windsor, after some serious defensive gut running from the wing, clean up on the last line of defence? Its early days yet, but I haven't seen our current wingers doing the same.

I'm not sure that sitting on the pine is the best way for Fritsch to regain form and confidence - better at Casey I think.
