  1. Did you think for a moment, BBO, that @Jaded No More may have sent that video as a warning to you? I mean, a lady of her intelligence and class surely wouldn’t tolerate dobbers and brown-nosers.
  2. The average AFL player gets paid over $400K. The average AFLW player gets paid $46K. If we won the McLelland Trophy, the $500K player allocation, shared between our 75 men and women players would equate to $6.66K each. This equates to a 14% salary bonus for the ladies, and less than a 2% bonus for the men (hardly chump change for the majority). It would therefore be a very nice gesture from the men (except perhaps for the rookies etc) if they donated their share to the ladies. This would equate to about $16k bonus for each lady, which would be significant not only in value but also in terms of how the Club values the ladies and their performance this year.
  3. Congrats @Redleg for Pinstripes making the cut. Assuming you and the gang will be there at the Valley on 28th. Is this the year of the outsider?
  4. I'm not really scared, just smart. No sense poking the bear (no offence intended Jaded!)
  5. Haha WCW, not really. i tend to keep on the right side of Jaded - because she scares me. You on the other hand, I just enjoy, because i never know what will come out of that mouth of yours next. I don't think even you do at times.
  6. Yeah but you can never predict what that deranged lady might do, Luci.
  7. Who wants to comment on this post? I will only say that there is a similar saying for females - but I’m too much of a gent to post it.
  8. He only emerges for your teasers D. I don’t think he can be bothered with the rest.
  9. Are you JT's research assistant?
  10. Although I’ve only seen highlights, they are pretty impressive, and Curtin looks ready made to me. I’d certainly grab him if available at 6. He already reminds me of Steven May.
  11. After todays news, perhaps an IQ test would be more appropriate.
  12. Dee, I believe Ginnivan has no one to blame but himself. He made his bed now he has to lay in it. I do hope this is a wake up call for him as no one likes to see unfulfilled talent. I wish him good luck, but I still think he’s a little [censored].
  13. Could we have done any more with the “capital” we had? I don’t think so. So it’s been a very good draft for us. As such, comparing us with other clubs is such BS. I’m sure no one at the club is today comparing our performance with others - or even cares. Such click bait BS.
  14. Only one way he can repair this. Sign a new contract extension. Otherwise I doubt the players will have a lot of faith in him and he may not get many leads honoured.
  15. What evidence? (just asking for a friend)
  16. I just watched Curtin’s highlights and he looks like a ready made Steven May mark2. I’d be really happy to nab him in the draft if we could - f..k WC.
  17. Are you going to mention your horses name Red?
  18. While I am totally against trading Harry, as I feel he will be a key player in our premiership attempt next year and the year after. As such I cannot follow the logic of wanting to trade him. I'm assuming we'd do it to try and get better currency to obtain Pick 1. However, I'm also assuming that WC would only trade Pick 1 if they were guaranteed of getting Curtin, and another high first round pick, and maybe more. Even if we traded Petty, I don't think our haul would satisfy WC - ie we still won't have a pick high enough to guarantee them getting Curtin. We would probably have to trade up to get Pick 2 or 3 or possibly 4 to be able to guarantee WC a pick that would get Curtin. Problem is, I don't think we'd have the picks left to offer WC, along with Pick 2 (3 or 4), that would entice them to trade with us. So, I cannot see the point in trading Harrison if we cannot guarantee getting Pick 1. But as I said, I am against selling Harry and I'm against selling our future first pick. Will be interesting to see how this pans out.
  19. Well, if WC don't want to play ball with us so that we can get Reid, then more than happy for us to pick Curtin at 6.
  20. I guess we will all have to wait and see. I cannot see the club telegraphing what their plans are. But rest assured, there are plans afoot. Have patience and a little trust. We do drafting a lot better than we do finals.
  21. I don't think anyone here will or could forget WCW. But just maybe it's time for healing instead of continually picking at the wound. I think I disliked the AFL far more for their inaction on this than Maynard for doing the deed. But my sincere hope and energy is focused all at Gus and his healing - so much so that I don't have a lot of energy left to waste on the AFL and that knuckle-dragger Maynard.
  22. Someone in another thread was saying how when they read the post of a particular poster they associated that poster with a particular voice. When I read a @Bitter but optimistic post I immediately hear the voice of the eunuch from Game of Thrones.
  23. Why would Oliver want to leave the Dees? This rumor doesn't ring true at all. However, it was obvious, from the optics, that Oliver was not himself once he returned from injury - both form and on-field attitude wise. Is it this that has perhaps initiated these rumors?
  24. If we had 22 Spargo’s who then would give them the ball for them to be able to have a kick?
  25. Could it have possibly been that Todd felt that, if we had selected Wines, he would have been a selection competition for Jack in their early days?
