One solution might be to keep Tracc and Viney out of the centre bounces and replace them with Kossie (when available) and Chandler (and Langford when gets a handle on the senior game) - players who can deliver the ball properly into the forward line. Give Tracc and Viney to Chaplin to get the most out of them in our forward line - that is where they are needed and best used IMO.

And, I think that is a good place to end this thread. Conclusion? Never let the facts get in the way of a good rant.

After that insipid performance I’ve taken my chill pill, listened to the Young Rascals singing “It’s a beautiful morning” and today looks a lot brighter. Should be a recipe for a few on here. While we are not a skilful side, the amount of tackles, handballs and kicks we missed yesterday, and extensive brain fades we had was extraordinary. We were not mentally switched on at any stage, then we simply gave up in that last quarter. It was so bad that I’m thinking there must be something not right in the camp. If so, solve it quickly guys. If not then next week will tell if our performance yesterday is a true indicator of where we sit, or simply a one-off horrible day that hopefully won’t be repeated. I’m leaning towards the latter, but that’s just me - I may well be wrong.

No, but many possible reasons. He might be injured, unavailable or simply not good enough (or not committed enough). Who knows - and we get so little info from Casey, we just have to guess at the reason, which is unfortunate. I’ve never seen him play, so I shouldn’t comment, but could it simply be that some DL’s have jumped the gun on this player?

Two points: - - You don’t get a lot of favours when you finish 14th. - last season many posters were complaining about night games being too late a night, especially taking the kids etc, and wishing we had more afternoon games. Well we have the afternoon games now and there are still complaints. Guess you can’t please everyone.

I think Jeffo’s development will very much depend on how we enter the forward 50. If we bomb it in long, his development will be long and slow - if at all. However, if we lower our eyes and look for a leading forward, then his development will be significantly quicker - due to his pace, leading skills and footy IQ. He looks far more skilful than JVR, but lacks his aggression. If we play the smart forward entry game, I think these two will be a great pair, complementing each other nicely.

I caught a piece on the news that stated that Zurich insurance are holding up the insurance payout to Gus. The statement said that the discussions were at a stalemate and we’re going nowhere. If true, I think that is disgusting by Zurich, and I certainly won’t be supporting them - club sponsor or not. Has anyone else heard or know more about this?
