I luv Clarry, but he had a shocking year last year by his standards, there can be no denying that. With his hand injury and his lack of pre-season, he was often a liability, rather than what we are all used to. So much so, that I couldn't understand why he wasn't rested to heal his hand. Long bow, but maybe if we had rested him, he may not have suffered the knee issue or the broken ribs and therefore been able to come back once the hand was right and see out the season playing more to his usual standard. Who knows, with Clarry firing again, we have even made the finals. Some have said that we didn't rest him because we didn't have a suitable replacement (as if anyone could adequately replace Clarry!). However, players like Laurie would have welcomed the chance to prove himself by playing a string of games in his absence. The only other reason i can imagine for not resting him was that management were perhaps concerned Clarry might lapse back into bad habits if not fully involved in the team. We may never know, but so glad he appears to be fit and firing this pre-season.

I wouldn’t have thought that there would be too many posters on here who didn’t know who “chin” or “disco” were. We’ve all made the effort, though constant reading of posts, to learn the nicknames of the players. Our track reporters don’t need criticism for using this shorthand while posting. @WCW even posted a list of all the nicknames last year I think. Perhaps her better half, @Ghostwriter, could repost that list. A new poster I can understand not knowing, but for someone who has read training reports for two years, these nicknames should be second nature I would have thought.

I luv Kossy, but the season hasn't even started and already i'm sick of this thread. I know it won't stop, so i'm opting out for my own sanity.

It is my new year wish that everybody on this site - except @picket fence - would wake up and realise that @WCW and @Ghostwriter are in fact 2 different ladies. One is seriously deranged and it’s very obvious that the other is not so much.

Well DP, maybe we could hang onto the lease we have on Goschs and in turn sub lease it to the Pies for a kings ransom until we at least get the money back that has been spent on Gischs. 😀

No matter your intention, your post comes across as very disrespectful - essentially calling GW a liar or at best, a fantasizer - when you could have so easily said something like " maybe you have misinterpreted what Goody said - perhaps he meant available round 1 not necessarily playing in the seniors round 1". You have a right to express your opinion, but you should also have a duty to be respectful when doing so - we're all on the same side.

Off topic question. Is Kossy still eligible to win the Brownlow this year? (Ie rubbed out last year but suspension carried over to this coming season).My initial thought is yes, but not sure.

FCS it’s not hard. 6ft 7in equates to 200.66cm. So if Kalani was measured today at 200cm, as @Ghostwritersaid, then he is slightly less than 6ft 7in. Simple.
