Great quote from Jobe ..”he’s completely ambidextrous on both sides” Peanut!
  2. Haha, who helped you post that Timothy?
  3. Maybe we could resort to standing and clapping at the 10 minute mark of each quarter. Don’t need Pies or AFL’s approval for that.
  4. I think you’ve made your point about a dozen times now. We get it. Time to let it rest because you are annoying the F out of everyone. If that’s your aim then you’ve achieved that too. Well done.

They may not be match fit but each of these gents has, at some stage, proven themselves at AFL level.
  6. Can I say that if WCW cannot be her usual self on DL, then DL will be a lot poorer for that. She is, IMO, a breath of fresh air on here. I don’t always agree but I’m always entertained. Don’t change.

Thanks Ernie, but if he is not showing AFL standard traits, as a number of the regular Casey watches have stated, would you still pick him this week? And who would he replace? If someone from Casey is deemed “ready” by all means bring him in. But I feel a big part of our problem is that there is so little pressure for spots on our AFL team from the Casey players. Anyway, I’m sure the FD know better than me what is best for AMW.
  8. Has Clarry now been handed a different centre bounce role than in previous years? He was always first to pounce on the tap out and, if he couldn’t extract the ball, he was usually at the bottom of the pack. That now seems to be Viney’s role, unfortunately. If so, it ain’t doing him, or us, any good. I say give him last years brief, and let him go, as only Clarry can. It may just help him to get his mojo back.

Why? If you haven’t seen Casey games, nor training, on what basis, pray tell, are you saying “let’s play him”? Except for one very passionate AMW supporter, most of the Casey watches have stated he is not ready for AFL football. I haven’t seen him so I cannot comment, but I’d like to know your reasoning please.
  10. It’s probably time to let the cat out of the bag WCW. What harm can it do now? And it will mean you don’t have to keep “implying” without “stating”, because there are too many who have not yet absorbed your hints to date.
  11. But is she good in a contest, Ms Jaded?
  12. Unlike some on here, I’m not smart enough to know how to fix our problem - I don’t even know what the real problem is. But I do know one thing: we are sadly missing Gus, not just on the field, but off it as well. He was definitely the heart and soul of the Club. No one appears to have stepped up to replace his leadership and immense encouragement he would heap on his teammates on the field. When your heart and soul is gone, without a replacement, you are left with an empty vessel. And that’s the way we are playing. I also believe - and perhaps the players do too - that the Club let Gus down by not appealing that shameful tribunal outcome. I’m sure Gus felt let down by that. And even more so well after the verdict when he received the medical advice to retire. im sure there are a myriad of reasons as to why we are playing so poorly, but I’m also pretty sure sure that the Gus factor is one of them.
  13. Not the form of answer I’d hoped you give WCW. My spidey sensors are starting to tingle.
  14. I’ve said this a couple of times (and been laughed at) but I’ll say it again. Switch Steven May to the forward line for at least next week. Oppose him to May-f’ing-nard. Love to see that scrap. But I also think May, along with JVR, will give us some grunt and fire that our forward line is desperately missing. Petty takes May spot in the backline - he ain’t no forward. I would like Oliver taken away from the midfield because he is still broken and unfit, and compared to the old Clarry, is just a faded shadow of his former self. I’d put him in the forward pocket (in place of McAdam) till he gets his mojo back. Kossie and, last week, ANB seem to be the only mids making an effort to clear the ball at centre clearances, apart from Tracc. Viney has gone back to his old bulldog ways - possibly because Oliver and Sparrow have not played their part at centre bounces. Gawn also must improve his tap outs - he was superb against the Saints in terms of hitting to our players advantage - but generally his tap work this year has not been up to standard. So for what it’s worth here is my side for next week: McVee, Petty, Tomlinson Bowey, TMac, Rivers Langdon, Tracc, ANB Salem, May, Fritsch Oliver, JVR, Jefferson Gawn, Viney, Pickett Chandler, Turner, Woewoden, Windsor Sub: Sparrow. And I believe it’s time to get a new skills coach - hitting targets by hand and foot - as we are embarrassingly poor in these areas. The turnovers today through these basic skill errors killed us.
  15. As bad as we were, nothing can spoil this day for me. My daughter just gave me a granddaughter. After today, I think l’ll be buying her a Swanies membership!
  16. Got to be the weakest, most embarrassing, gutless and shameful half of football I’ve seen from this team. The players and coaches should be ashamed of themselves. Haha hoping for a better second half!
  17. We’d be fine if we could hit a target. F’ing skills are atrocious.

He’s very perceptive your son. I’d pegged you as deranged - but he’s got you as schizo, which explains a lot more.

There is consistency in their inconsistency WCW
  20. Left field: Tommo in to the backline, and send May to FF, just for this game. Tommo at least has decent form in the VFL, and I love to see May crash a few packs up forward.
  21. Done good @WalkingCivilWar. You’re hired.
  22. Not sure it’s the “forward line blues”. It’s more the entry into the forward half that was pathetic tonight.
  23. We’ve got this!
  24. Daz, I think if you were being told you’ve done a [censored] job, you’d take that personally - particularly if you had prefaced your comments by saying it won’t be an insightful report. It’s no wonder posters doing training reports are a dying breed around here.
  25. Binny, my point on this is that 90%(?) of us on here dislike the majority of the football media “experts” - or think they are has-been “[censored]”. Why then should we care what an “[censored]” happens to say about our club or players? Maybe it’s all the unloved years we’ve faced in the past - as you say - that has made us insecure and in need of a little love and recognition. However you, above nearly everyone else on DL, have the knowledge and understanding that we are a very good team that is going to be a premiership contender this year. You know it, I know it, and most on here would luv to believe it - so why the need for further confirmation of this from someone you don’t respect? I love the “us” against “them” mentality. It binds us closer together in support of our great club. Not sure if this is how @Skuit feels, but it’s my personal view.
