From Plappy's VFL report. Christian Petracca: Christian continues to improve and continues to build his game time. He did some really special things on the weekend and he ended up having 29 possessions, 14 of which were contested. He [also] pushed forward and kicked a goal. His second effort and his ability to bring other players into the game and use people around him was a real highlight. He took three or four contested marks and it was probably a sign that he’s starting to get some confidence about his game. We’re really bullish about where he’s going and we’re really happy with him so he’s just going to continue to build his game and his opportunity [to play AFL] will come when it comes. I think the last sentence is such a tease, it really does say he could come in this week and it really does say he will be playing for Casey this week!

I would say she knows a lot about football politics rather than the game itself, same goes for Hutchy. I do not see Leppa getting sacked, not this year anyway, nor do i see the Tiges sacking Hardwick, they would bring so much more bad press on themselves if they sacked him just after singing him for 3 more years. We rested Hogan last year in round 7, why can't we do it to Clarry in in round 5??? The 2 of them were pretty good, the kid was understanding a lot quicker and i heard him explaining some thing to his dad a few times. It really makes you think how complex the game really is, especially when their main sport is ice hockey.

Dunno what time in the match it was but i remember seeing him drop a mark, get outrun by 1 of us and just stop and i yelled out who needs Howe? I then heard a under the breath comment from the toothless filth supporter behind me suggesting that i go and get a sexual encounter. I was really hoping he would have a game like this against us, was just not sure the footy gods were going to come to the party.

Great win, was one that kept saying to my Col mate that we could still lose this, and he just said we play really exciting footy. So happy we didnt crumble, maybe we have truned a corner, but they need to back it up this weekend. On a side note, had a Canadian bloke behind me with his son, (I'm from Canada and people think I'm slow eh.) so spent a fair amount of time explaining the rules during the game, which i didn't mind doing. Has anyone ever tried to explain our game to someone that has absolutely no idea what is happening? I struggled a bit with it but in the end he had a great time and was even getting into the "BALL" shouting, but i suspect he was just following the crowd.

The Essendon game is all our fault, everyone was talking them up and when they read it here they believed it would just come to them, be ashamed of yourselves. What about the bombardment of people on Twitter giving them negative comments after that game, do you think they do not read those comments that are hurled at them on social media when they under perform? A few will read this forum but when asked they will deny it, imagine if Watts admitted he comes on here, comments will be directed at him and people will get annoyed when he doesn't answer and explain why he didn't kick the goal himself instead of passing it to Hogan. As for the OP, I guess i revert back to anger so quickly because it is a hell of a lot less draining than forcing a positive mindset constantly.

I would defiantly leave Gus at Casey for now, after that Essendon match, 1 Casey game isn't going to build his match fitness. Only if fully fit does Garlett come back in, if there is any doubt then give it another week, we do not need him to re-injure that ankle. If he is fit then i would be dropping young Stretch, was monstered a lot yesterday by much older bodies and just doesn't look quite at AFL pace yet, but he will get there, just not regularly this year. If the coaches see something in Frosty being a forward I have to trust them. You would think they know what they are doing, and 1 week i 1 week out isn;t going to help his confidence in the role that the coaches are expecting him to play, although he is very good at dragging a defender away for the real contest! I doesn't matter who plays on who, GWS had no forward line and they still nearly beat us, Essendrugs has a gangly kid that beat everyone who went near him, it's just lucky he can't kick too well. Shove Hogan in the backline and let him learn how to work hard from their forward line, oh and put Kent on one of their small forwards so he can learn that lesson too.
