A few Demonlanders commented Kossie was down on Sunday made me wonder, as I only got to see the highlights and his speed and ball movement were terrific, he kicked 2.5 so could have easily had 4 or 5 goals, so look forward to seeing what he does when he is up and about!!
-
Assuming we hold onto Kossie. You look at picking up Grundy and Hunter both first round pick capability selections the way they are playing, and if Freo have a down year and we get a top ten pick, means we have been able to renew our list, with top end picks a few years after Clarrie & Trac! Our recruiting team have done a terrific job from my view!
-
Gents you do a great job with the podcast, thanks for terrific listening! How do you see our optimal forward line working by seasons end and similarly how do you see our best backline setup and will it be different for a Collingwood smaller forward line versus say Geelong or a bigger opposing forward line?
-
GWS we’re putrid! coach went ape pooh at 3/4 time & still zero player response
-
I know Kossie missed a few shots, but he looks so good running with the ball and disposing it to advantage, just terrific to watch him play!!
-
Yes, W first but hopefully with a percentage boosting win!
-
Agree fun thread indeed. Flower a must in any Demon team. Fritta, Kossie, Salem all gotta be in
-
Would love to see a ruthless performance with a 100 Point shellacking of those Eagles! Help set up our percentage for the season

JJ is sitting on the edge of our 22/23! So he will be in our out of the team depending on injuries, team balance against certain opponents e.g. smaller backline vs Swans and then generally team composition e.g. ANB and Spargo play their specific role. Hopefully the other category is when the FD tries out a few players that seems to have happened a little this year. JJ looked very solid last week and played very well, so would be unlucky to miss this week, but ANB/Spargo played their roles very well last week and Sparrow is a burst player who is very strong that the FD really like in the team! If JJ is in the team he will do a good job, if he is sub, he is a handy player who can cover multiple roles. You have to drop someone for him to play, it’s not easy to work out who!

Come on Sunday can you get here faster, seems to be taking forever to get to game time!
-
I think you’ve let the winning glow of the GF win impact your thoughts!
-
Always thought players should be doing something along these lines, recently when Jordan Lewis couldn’t keep his feet in his last two seasons, thought he should have done some martial arts over summer that may have assisted him.

While I will always follow the Demons no matter who comes or goes, a few changes at the end of the year is acceptable! While disappointing to lose a player like Hunt who I liked you bring in a couple of others Grundy and Hunter but the fabric of the team feels the same! Agree the whole mid season changes of NBA is crappy, would be really [censored] to see the Pies bring in a gun ruck, key back and forward mid-year then lose to them in a GF in a close game!

You have a great memory for umpiring injustices against the Demons, but I’m trying to forget that decade for the Demons! Now if you show the Crows deliberate OOB handball from 2021 that’s okay, because that was a great Demon year!
-
WCW I love your passion and support for the Demons, you seem like a kind and caring person! Some friendly advice as you refer to the “last time my car was stolen” making it sound like a frequent event. Try not leave your keys in the car and it running in the street, it’s just too much temptation for all of those criminal supporters of the: Pies Blues Bombers Tigers Dogs Cats Hawks Roos Saints!
-
JJ would be unlucky as he played very well and it felt like he was much quicker with his ball use last week, but I also think he is a very handy sub!
-
Which is a great position for the team, puts pressure on players 12-23 to play well or you might get dropped!
-
I’m a dual member and do the same for my better half and 3 kids. The wisdom of George is the trump card for me, sustained success is the key, get them on board as kids have decades of success and 20 years later hopefully they can become a financial member!

Sunday Bloody Sunday feels way too far away, on Easter Friday! All this reflection time! Anyway few thoughts on the new guys: - fantastic to see Chandler getting some games and playing like he belongs, tackling pressure and that fantastic mark and goal against Swans! - Hunter passer of above Chandler goal is all class and added to his wing brother in Langdon gives us the best wing combo in the league. - McVee just looks like he has that bit of time, clean skills, he is a keeper. - Grundy, so different to Maxy more a follower than a ruck, but when you add him in the middle to Clarrie, Trac & Viney he is icing on the cake! Max going down just highlights excellent list management. - JVR looks like he is going to be another excitement machine and competitive beast, look after him this year and we have our CHF for next decade! You have to hand it to the recruitment team and list management to get two best & fairest winners aged 27/28 into our team for pick 26 & 3rd rounder next year, not to mention Pies paying for the privilege, it is just an exceptional piece of recruitment and draft craft! Go you mighty Demons!!

BT and ding a Ling are both definitely anti the Demons! BT is unbelievably bad for a so called professional commentator- typical BT commentary - “that’s about the first time umpires have called ball back from centre bounce today” except that two bounces before they had called the ball back and I think the bounce before. He might have been a good footballer and has a presence, but he has no idea what’s going on at the football - probably has to concentrate so hard to talk that he has no capacity to absorb what’s happening on the field!
-
Demons have put a lot of effort into goal kicking over summer, Grundy actually commented on level of excellence Demons strive towards re goal kicking. So I don’t think scoreboard flattered us too much.
-
Preparing for the Pies, who play pretty small in forward half!
-
Oliver star to Fritter star
-
Great pass May and goal Fritter
