  1. Take the win, also take note of Goodwin trying out a few different moves, before settling on his preferred team probably round 16 and beyond. Fritta & Chandler not as good last night but noted training comments earlier in the week about Fritta off to the side on his own, and Chandler having scan last week so maybe NQR. I couldn’t believe how often Suns players drop the ball cold and didn’t get pinged for it!! Another 4 points is the key and one of BBB, TMac, Scache, even J Smith stepping up for key forward role, hopefully JVR managed well over the year and improves enough to hold down CHF!
  2. Is there a holding the ball or dropping the ball, or incorrect disposal rule, kossie caught Gold Coast players cold 20 metres out from goal in both first and second quarters - ball up. Had his head taken off after picking the ball off the ground in the 2nd. Umpires do him no favours. Thank goodness Chol mark wasn’t paid and Grundy goaled in the first for one 50/50 to us!
  3. While I don’t like Hardwick as he was a thug, he won the Tigers three flags in last 6 years, it is pretty disrespectful. Scott/Beveridge/Hardwick all sook up, but tough gig under scrutiny 24x7 and many reporters are looking to create cheap headlines by upsetting coaches after a loss!
  4. As the Fonz tried to say, I was wwwwwrong!
  5. Agree the Tigers were terrible and Suns were ordinary but kicked straight! I couldn’t help but think what happened to the Tigers from Anzac eve, very poor from Tigers. Even if they kicked slightly straighter would have been in the game. Demons bring close to our usual standard and should win by 5 goals. That Melbourne acknowledged last years game away as toughest interstate game of the year is great, as there will be no taking a win for granted! Go Demons!!
  6. We’ve played 7 danger games this year, winning 5 losing 2! Tigers came out hot against the Demons and had an extra four players umpiring for them! Looked ordinary in comparison last week, kicked badly for goal, Demons would have handled comfortably in that form. Miller out hurts GC, Demons should control midfield and be too strong for GC but won’t be easy!
  7. Fantastic news! Kozzie our electric live wire staying for another four years just makes me smile! He is just sensational to watch!
  8. Borderline frees, non paid frees and totally inconsistent we’re the umpires highlights! Could argue they had influence in 4-8 goal range for the Tigers. Non 50 to ANB 2 goal turnaround! Lever point to a goal, never seen that free paid before. Brayshaw incorrect disposal when he kicked the ball - goal. There is four before we go anywhere near blocking frees and goals! Also paid at times when demons gaining momentum in the game. If we have even a 3goal plus another 4 goal result, looks very different! Demons did pretty well against a hot Tigers who had major assistance from the umps!
  9. Team looks a lot better with Max, Lever and Hibberd back in! Schache as the sub, giving us something to fall back on either forward, back or ruck seems a good option, as we are going in one tall down in the forward line!
  10. Good point, might walk up to the cops and report him, make the night much more enjoyable being able to sing D… has gone home in a divi van all the game rather than having to wait to the end of the night when it will surely happen!!
  11. After the misery of last weekend I’m willing to accept any winning margin, particularly as I’m taking a Tiger nuff nuff supporter with me!
  12. Would love a ten goal flogging of the Bombers, of course always happy to just win and take the four points. Agree with many posters, if it pours JJ in for BBB seems to make sense! Kossie for 5.2 this week!
  13. What is ruling on late changes?
  14. Terrific news, already developing into a very good player and has more upside!
  15. A few Demonlanders commented Kossie was down on Sunday made me wonder, as I only got to see the highlights and his speed and ball movement were terrific, he kicked 2.5 so could have easily had 4 or 5 goals, so look forward to seeing what he does when he is up and about!!
  16. Assuming we hold onto Kossie. You look at picking up Grundy and Hunter both first round pick capability selections the way they are playing, and if Freo have a down year and we get a top ten pick, means we have been able to renew our list, with top end picks a few years after Clarrie & Trac! Our recruiting team have done a terrific job from my view!
  17. Gents you do a great job with the podcast, thanks for terrific listening! How do you see our optimal forward line working by seasons end and similarly how do you see our best backline setup and will it be different for a Collingwood smaller forward line versus say Geelong or a bigger opposing forward line?
  18. GWS we’re putrid! coach went ape pooh at 3/4 time & still zero player response
  19. I know Kossie missed a few shots, but he looks so good running with the ball and disposing it to advantage, just terrific to watch him play!!
  20. Yes, W first but hopefully with a percentage boosting win!
  21. Agree fun thread indeed. Flower a must in any Demon team. Fritta, Kossie, Salem all gotta be in
  22. Would love to see a ruthless performance with a 100 Point shellacking of those Eagles! Help set up our percentage for the season
  23. JJ is sitting on the edge of our 22/23! So he will be in our out of the team depending on injuries, team balance against certain opponents e.g. smaller backline vs Swans and then generally team composition e.g. ANB and Spargo play their specific role. Hopefully the other category is when the FD tries out a few players that seems to have happened a little this year. JJ looked very solid last week and played very well, so would be unlucky to miss this week, but ANB/Spargo played their roles very well last week and Sparrow is a burst player who is very strong that the FD really like in the team! If JJ is in the team he will do a good job, if he is sub, he is a handy player who can cover multiple roles. You have to drop someone for him to play, it’s not easy to work out who!
  24. Come on Sunday can you get here faster, seems to be taking forever to get to game time!
  25. I think you’ve let the winning glow of the GF win impact your thoughts!
