  1. Never thought i'd see the day. Gentleman we are free.
  2. We could lose every game this season and i wouldn't care as long as we beat North. I [censored] hate North, every encounter with a North fan has led me to hating the club more. Not to mention two games i've attended have both been North belting us by 60+ and 90? points. If we win i'll make sure every North fan knows about it. It's all their [censored] club has going for them. I hope they move to Tassy or fold, [censored] north melbourne.
  3. Our whole defence minus Oscar has been average. Lever is def giving more than a Wagner or other fringe players. Sorry for exaggerating his influence, but he is nowhere near as bad as people claim.
  4. That's such nonsense. You can't expect a player to not make mistakes just because they get paid more.
  5. I don't really see the problem with Lever? Geelong targeted him, but as we all could see it was our forward and midfield pressure that allowed Geelong to rip us open. After half time Lever was apart of a defence that gave up 17 points and did his job. Don't think Lever did a thing wrong against Brisbane. He got sold into trouble by Tyson and Wagner a couple of times, but i think people are judging him on the fact Brisbane kicked 7 in a row. Why don't you look at the whole team like you should and not pick out a single player.
  6. Surely we have decent cap space? Vince is on the way out at the end of the season and even then i doubt he is on massive wages. Also Lewis is done within a year or two. Does anyone have any sources as to what our players are on? I feel like if we are close to topping out our cap space with our current squad than that's a massive error. We overpaid for Lever yes, but our only star right now is Hogan and he isn't on a million a year. We should also be saving cap space for new deals for the younger potential players. It's noticable that with the new rise to the cap that Petracca and Oliver got new deals straight away.
  7. 1. We won 2. We stopped the rot 3. Our first half was good and all the players know they could've done better.
  8. we love selling players into trouble ffs
  9. Great start. If we don't fade out i can see a big win, Brissy really lacking that ball movement off half back.
  10. I've made the decision to stop complaining about selection.
  11. We aren't in trouble. Round 1 doesn't mean anything. Just last year a team went from 0-6 to playing in finals.
  12. Don't agree. Prime Geelong dominated on handball game. Maybe it's outdated, but we ain't a bad team and during our run last season we could've beaten anyone before the team fell apart because of injuries.
  13. Terrible call to blame Lewis for reacting in the heat of the moment. Ump seemed a bit think skinned but we don't know what he said 100%, but i think it was the classic your [censored] joking. Everyone who blames him for giving away the goal should go after all the players who had a part to play in letting the Cats score 14. Just like how Gawn's miss can happen at anytime, so can a ref overreacting to a players response.
  14. 1. Nowhere close to our best and we should've won 2. Tyson, Viney and Brayshaw importance was felt 3. Gawn's back
  15. We won 3 out of 4 quarters today. Mental softness isn't a thing, it's a buzzword media pundits can throw out so they don't have to look at stats and trends to figure out the real reasons. I don't care what anyone says, no one can play at the speed we do for the full game. People look at the Doggies and Tigers with rose tinted glasses and forget all the shockers they had. Tigers lost 4 games in a row by a kick and got called every name under the sun by the media pundits. Mentally soft tigers won the flag because they believed in the plan and had the legs to do it in september. Why didn't the team who hadn't won a finals game in years and the team that also lost 4 games in a row by a kick collapse in the finals against the other top teams of the comp? Because it's a myth. I'm gutted after that defeat, but it was clear our skills let us down today. We fatigued and the game became a lot more slower and congested. The cats didn't even move the ball that much better and basically held on for the last half. Tired players don't make the correct decisions and while we screamed at them to lower their eyes they just slammed it on the boot because they were cooked. Blame the coaches and fitness staff for that. We collapsed at the end of last season because we didn't have the legs and if we had made it into the finals i fear what Port would have done to us. How do we change it? Find match winners who can stand up against the tide and kick a couple goals to keep us within reach. Petracca did it against the pies on Queens Birthday, hell Petracca did it today as well. Lever had a shocking first half but i think came into his own in the last half. The Cats kick two goals in the last half, yes they missed some easy ones (so did we) but i think Lever, Hunt and Hibberd grew into the game took control. These players are only going to get better with more games.
  16. On paper, but paper isn't everything (Richmond, Doggies, Leicester)
  17. Maynard was decent and Hannan woke up after halftime. I don't know why people just pick on Maynard
  18. Missing out on the 8 by half a % and now losing this game right off the bat. Insane
  19. [censored] tired of losing close games. 3 chances and we [censored] all of them up. wtf did we do to deserve that [censored]
