  1. I don't think Brayshaw and Gaff shared the same emotions. I don't think AFL teams are going to go after Gaff who only has ever snapped once in 200 games. Nor by the time he plays again anyone will remember/care.
  2. Why would Angus be affected or do you mean Andrew? I'm not saying what Gaff did isn't serious or he should get off. I'm just not prepared to call someone who has been a nice level headed guy for his entire career a thug or question his character because of a brain snap. It's how he reacts to this and by all accounts so far you see the remorse. I also share symphathy for the Brayshaw family.
  3. Gaff was a marked man yesterday after the hit and he took it all on the chin and still walked off the ground with his head down.
  4. One mistake shouldn't throw away 200 games without incident. Would love him at the club and i'm sure he will face the consequences like a man, like Bugg did.
  5. Cuddle buddies
  6. Good win. Nothing good comes off beating a team by 180+. % becomes irrelevant.
  7. [censored] me imagine we win a flag and Oliver is BOG. The general AFL public will be fuming. No one is ready for the fury of the ginger.
  8. His little toe is still as important for balance as the other toes. Finger is very different to a toe
  9. This is a great point. I think if we do make it we need to back the boys and not worry about defeat. Doggies had no fear because they were happy to be there. Richmond almost played with no expectations because of their past performances in the finals and when they got that win they became a wrecking ball. We can turn it on and nobody bar Richmond will want to face us because as we have shown so far this season we are hard to beat. Yes we can look at the dissapointments of both Geelong games and the Hawthorn/Saints games. I was so gutted after the Geelong game and i was fuming after the St Kilda game because i didn't think the group was learning the lessons from past experiences. After the natural anger period wore off after those defeats i was able to find positive. Speaking for myself here, when i look at Goody and the players in the team i refuse to believe they ain't trying to improve. I don't believe they drink their own bath water (i think that's just phrase people here use to justify why we lose). I also don't believe the top 8 scalp is playing on the minds of players or coaches. Looking back on the season i can say we did learn a lot from the Richmond and Hawthorn games. More so from Richmond because i think the Hawthorn game was an aberration of players not playing to the base standard we expect. Since round 5 against the tigers we've gone 9 and 4 with 3 of the 4 defeats being close defeats. We also had to deal with the loss of Lever, Viney and Hibberd in that time while having everyone in the football world hype them up one week and tear them down the next week. One game at a time, but if we make it i sure as hell hope we get Geelong. They survived us twice, but i don't think they will a 3rd time.
  10. Been a positive month for him, felt like he really stood up when needed. Last season he really felt like a big game player who when he was on could tear apart the lesser sides, but just wasn't consistent enough to do it. It's maybe a reason his start to the season was so dissapointing. We just expected that his inconsistency would disappear just because he is a year older when in reality it only got worse because he was trying to find his spot in the team. His performances against Geelong and Adelaide, busting through packs and hard running really shows what he is capable off. I always wanted him to be a forward because i thought he was so hard to match up on if your a defender, but his time in the midfield has been much better than his stint up forward.
  11. Oliver this season; avg's 30 disposals, 17 contested poss, 13 uncontested poss, 7 clearances, 7 tackles and 5 i50 a game. Guy is a freak and i'm so happy he is buying into the club and willing to do the 1%'ers to go even further.
  12. If we had our full strength i'd give us a chance against the tigers at the G. We did learn a lot from that game and while i don't think we would beat them more than they would beat us, on any given day something can happen. Before we worry about that we need to deal with GCS and Sydney. Both are their for the taking, but nothing is for certain.
  13. I was golf clapping in the 3rd, by the end of the game i was smacking myself in the face. Considering what happen last week it's shocking how close we let it get. Adelaide butchered so many chances and Eddy, McGovern missed certain goals. We even had the weather on our side.
  14. am i retarded because i don't understand the table or is the table confusing?
  15. you can give 100% effort and still lose. Common misconception going around. If you were out on the footy field and lost a game would you like it when some loud mouth fan accuses you of not giving 100%?
  16. Didn't we all laugh when every stats site said Collingwood had the best midfield in the comp last year. Low and behold all their missed kicks start hitting and now Pendlebury, De Goey, Sidebottom and Grundy look unstoppable. We are technically the best inside team in the comp (aka the old sydney) and we got destroyed by them inside and out.
  17. They kicked 8 straight goals in the last qtr and 16.4 for the night. We kicked 3.5 in last qtr and 14.14 for the night. Like you said effort was their but Geelong got away with that. They had 20 scoring shots and somehow scored a goal 80% of the time. Our defense was fine til O. Mac started getting destroyed and again you have to look at the Midfield losing the clearances 8 to 1 in that period of time.

As Deefiant said. Crawford said Gawn was sick.
  19. If we could somehow get Sam Walsh then i'd say lets look at moving a Tyson/Kent on, but if not just look to finding a diamond with what we got.
  20. Thanks for the answer. Eagles will be fuming.
  21. So we don't have to offer any picks or players? Just give him money?
  22. Can anyone tell me how we would be able to bring a Gaff to the club considering we have nothing really to offer.
  23. Gerard is okay, i like BT and people are allowed to be down on us after the shocker against Hawks and the poor last qtr vs the Tigers. We've only beat 3 of whats probably going to be the bottom 6 sides in the comp. We ain't beating the best in the comp, so let's not get ahead of ourselves and start calling media people out for not kissing our toes. ALSO we did have the most to lose (= with Essendon) we are on the repair after two poor games and losing to gold coast would be a disaster when you consider our easy draw for the next month and the difficult draw that lays ahead.
  24. Brayshaw may be more all rounded but i don't think he has the highs of Petracca
