Kozzy Pickett Re-Signs for 4 Years
I thought if he left it’s more likely to WA. Grew up there and has more family there. Only lived in SA for a couple of years I believe.

POSTGAME: Match SIM vs St. Kilda
I watched most of it. But was also doing things so was in and out a bit. And I’m taking about he first 4 quarters. I was impressed. It’s a first hit out on a hot day. I thought we moved the ball well generally and skills were good considering we’re blowing out the cobwebs. was impressed with the usual suspects in the middle with Clarry Trac and co. Thought Gawn was great. Grundy was decent and remember he hasn’t played for a while. And first game with us. Hunter will be great. Hunter and Langdon on opposite wings will be a weapon. Pickett looks exciting. Could break Thames open from the middle this year. McVee impressed. Look like he’ll be right to go. I thought BBB played well considering a few weeks ago they were saying he won’t play round one. Bowey stood out for me. Excellent one on one and you want the footy in his hands.

Farewell Brodie Grundy
I just don’t think Gawn is turning into Paul Salmon. However he is a 6 x AA ruck. Maybe he should just be our number one ruck.
-
Farewell Brodie Grundy
I’m not overly keen on Grundy. We have the best ruck in the league. So we’re relying on them to kick a fair amount of goals between them for this to work. 30 minimum surely. Our forward line was dysfunctional this year so how does that improve by brining in another ruckman? If he comes in for a second rounder and with us only paying 600k it makes it easier to take. But we really don’t need him. I’m saying all this I’m 99% sure we’ll get him.

Farewell Luke Jackson
I always thought it would be good to see Jackson attend the odd centre bounce as a mid alongside Gawn. Issue is you can’t play him as a mid and a ruck. It’s too taxing. I don’t really get what Ralph is sprouting. So he’s going to turn into Blicavs? It won’t suit him to be thrown all over the ground. IMO he’s a ruck and can pinch hit forward. Seems a natural ball winner when given the chance. Going to Freo doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. And 800-900k a year to try turn him into Blicavs is a huge risk.

Farewell Brodie Grundy
The whole we need to spend the money on a key forward is fine. But if there was a key forward available now or next year we’d be working on that. We’ve been savvy at the draft/trade table. Mackay and Curnow are OOC next year and I’m sure we’ve asked around. But let’s have it there’s no chance they’ll leave. Mackay has already mentioned taking unders to stay. IMO we should go for Grundy if there’s not better key forward option. Play Gawn up forward more. We have some elite players and we need to strike while the irons hot. Oliver Trac Viney Gus Lever May etc they won’t be at this level forever.

Farewell Luke Jackson
I was talking about Sean Darcy. I reckon Jackson will end up a better player and Darcy will be gettable in next couple years.

Farewell Luke Jackson
IMO Jackson will be a better player than Darcy in a couple more years. Darcy will be gettable but probably not this year.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Speculation about Lobb wanting out due to Jackson wanting in is off the mark. Lobb already wanted out.

Farewell Luke Jackson
The offer sounds far to high. They’ll likely offer more then we can but surely won’t be going that high.

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
Have been on DL for a while. Not since before the GF. But so good to win a premiership. Have waited so long. Sat through all the crap years in the freezing cold at the G. Watching us struggle to put 10 goals on the board. The club have got this rebuild so right. The whole finals series was a joy to watch. From round 20 onwards we were certainly the dominant side in the comp. There has got to be some real opportunities to go again with this group to! 🔴🔵🏆

PF: Melbourne vs Geelong
Haven’t posted here for a while. Very excited for Friday night. But seems so bloody far away. They’re going to play the extra tall and try and make Lever accountable. No doubt means we’ll try Smith on one of the big boys and manipulate a better match up for Lever. Probably the smaller forwards worry us more but cats don’t have a Charlie Cameron level player. Or anyone really near it. Danger looks wounded but could will himself on being the champion he is. But the likes of Viney Oliver and Petracca seem built for finals and we can certainly win the midfield battle with Gawn getting on top to. Without Stewart they look a lot less scary down back. We just have to make sure we make the most of our chances and lock the ball in. We can do this. Go Dees!

CHANGES: Rd 02 vs St. Kilda
I think it’ll only be Viney for Harmes. I wouldn’t mind bringing in another small forward. Likely Chandler. Possibly Bedford. Not sure that’ll happen unless they make Jones 23rd player. I thought Jones was ok last week and doesn’t deserve to be dropped. But I can see him playing 23rd man at times.

Kobe Farmer
Absolutely. And I’d assume that’s what will happen if he’s not listed by us.

TRAINING: Monday 22nd February 2021
With the new standing the mark rule. I can see teams using players with pace i.e. Bowey and Hunt as runners off half back taking a handball and running. The player on the mark can’t even attempt to block it.

2021 Injury List
Good chance for Bowey or Laurie to get a half forward spot. I was hoping Melksham would find some form the year to. Very important when he’s on.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MAJAK DAW
I like it. Now Weideman and Brown are injured we need mature key position player backup. Bonus is he can play either end or ruck.

TRAINING: Friday 5th February 2021
From what I saw at training a couple of weeks ago and what I’m reading Spargo seems a certain starter. He played some good footy last year to. In his under 16 year he was tipped to top 10 from memory but had injuries after that.

TRAINING: Wednesday 27th January 2021
From what I’ve read here and seen on Friday seems Petracca is leaving nothing out on the track.

Pies into Petracca?
IMO Pies just offloaded a whole heap of $. Not due to clearing space. Actually due to being well over the cap hence the bargain trade deals for Treloar Stephenson and Phillips. No doubt they’ll be into Petracca. I think Petracca is built for finals footy and if we don’t start making them then he’s a risk to leave. But are Collingwood in a better position? I don’t think so. Not unless they end up absolutely nailing the 2020 draft.

TRAINING: Friday 22nd January 2021
He was training. But I didn’t notice too much of him.
