  1. Probably but then Frosty will give it straight back.
  2. Spot on "Balls" I've been crying out for our Mids etc to lower their eyes, have a quick look around and kick in front of leading forwards. Big improvement last night resulting in us kicking highest score so far. Below the shoulders we are as good as anyone. Starting to get better above the shoulders and hopefully this improvement continues and onwards and upwards from here. I hope!!
  3. No change. Trust TMac gets up. I thought Jetta was fine. His pressure was good and deserves another game. Let's get some continuity into this team now please. No use making changes for players to come in that are not going to be better than those they are replacing.
  4. Yep. To quick for those umpires. About time they sort Treloar out. Just about throws every time in traffic. What about those Dee rejects. Frost I would say was just OK but Frawley and Scully were next to being liabilities.
  5. I respect your view here SWYL however do you realistically think our small membership will increase enough to assist in paying for a so called gun coach. I don't think so.
  6. We cannot afford to 1- get rid of Goodwin or 2- get Lyon or Clarkson so forget about it.
  7. Spot on. Whilst we have a few with talent overall it is now evident the list is just so so with a hell of a lot of the same types. We drop 10 and put 10 in they in my opinion will be similar and same old story. Get ball and turn ball over.
  8. No because Jones at least has a heart and most times disposes the ball correctly not like Hunt. This crap about pace is getting to me. Pace does not win games. It is what you do with the ball when you have it. You move the ball with precision and the whole team looks fast Hunt can run fast but just can't play. Unfortunately AT PRESENT we have 20-25 players on our list that are barely VFL standard so make what ever changes you want and it will make no difference. I would love to drop Oliver, Viney and Brayshaw due to their inability to drive forward. How many times do these guys win the ball and in lieu of moving forward lowering eyes to a leading player go back into congestion and in the end cough the pill up. I would hate being a forward in this team.
  9. Not a bad effort ( being smart) by Goody and his team picking 3 talls out of the 4 inclusions. Know they will not all play but looking at weather for Melb on Sunday it will be wet. Good picks if playing up here in Qld during day but give me a break how in the hell do they come to this decision. Add in Spargo who just can't play the game and we are in big trouble. Hope not but not at all confident on this team.
  10. Get back on topic please
  11. Pity. Was hoping to go down to GC and watch them.
  12. Spot on about our mids. Brayshaw is the only one that looks like kicking a goal. Our red haired guy and his mate Viney got no idea how to kick a goal shown by the stupid hand balling fiasco 40 yards out on Sunday instead of kicking a goal. Have a look at the young red headed guy up this way (Qld). Think he's averaging 2 goals a game last 3 games
  13. We still haven't learnt what to do in the forward line. At one stage it was like the Benny Hill show with Viney and Oliver handballing to themselves about 40 yards out until one of them coughed it up. No idea what to do with the ball but I have a suggestion. Just tell them to kick the bloody thing. Kaos footy would be better as it may bounce to one of ours.
  14. To many times our mids jog around in middle of ground by themselves when Cats have the ball. No 'gut' running to pick up someone and assist the backs. Been going on for a while now.
  15. Boy and we have been great!!!
  16. Got to be joking. Tomlinson played Ok and was better than about 12 others. VDB yes out. I would keep changes as minimal as possible. Go for HB for VDB
  17. Yes BUT if that was the case why in the hell did they pick him for the Blues game. Surely he's MORE match fit now than back 2 weeks. Got me beat as I reckon if he plays at 80% fitness he beats most of our other players.
  18. Playing Freo with some crowd on the Gold Coast depending on how many Qld Dee fans get there will be good for the team plus they get to play in nice warmish conditions with no dew. Should assist in show casing our skills !!!
  19. Concur. I'm only 40 minutes away and assume the club will have tickets available for us interstate members seeing you are allowed now to attend games up here..Will send them an email. I would imagine from going to the Maroochy training camp open session we should have about 1k supporters for this game and easily out number the docker fans. Looking forward to seeing the team on the GC.
  20. Like everything. In moderation is fine. If we gave everything away that is not good for us we would not drink or eat anything. This world is going nuts. On a cold day when playing back in Melb a few of the boys had Stones neat at half time
  21. Old Dee not sure where you live but when I lived in Melb there were plenty of days when the sun didn't rise or to the point it hid behind the clouds!!.
  22. What I liked about TMac was he appeared to moving more freely leading up the ground and guess what the players actually lowered their eyes and hit him up. Been on this for a long time and if they can convert this to real games then we will be OK. TMac leading up taking marks and moving ball on quickly to the other forwards plus putting the odd goal through himself will have the opposition worried. Only short vision however he looked to be moving well.
  23. Spot on Demon3. Our so called leaders and better players NEED to step up and assist these newbies as much as they can. See it to often when opposition come hard at us our leaders (Gawn aside) seem to go hiding in the stands. If this is a close one and I suspect it will be then this is the time for Melk, Jones, Jetta, TMac and the likes of Oliver and Brayshaw to lead the way for another close win. Essendon were only just against the Swans and I do not rate them as much as others and a chance for us to go 2/1
  24. We all have our own opinions as selectors however mine is minimal or no changes. A win is a win and believe the players, particularly those that didn't perform need another another game under their belt and if again they put in a bad one then drop them. We need continuity so they can develop understanding between themselves. 7 changes for round 2 is enough. 8 if you throw in the late change for ANB back in for Kozie. Maybe Kozie in for someone ( take your pick) but that is all I would do.Hard to drop ANB as he started well and actually lowered his eyes to hit up Fritta for our first goal. Yes he went missing along with most but still hard to drop.
  25. Drastic changes with plenty of inexperience but I'm excited to see how our newbies go but feel for us to win this one we will need our better, more senior players like Gawn, Oliver, Jones etc to play to their very best and Trac to break out and have a blinder.
