That's what I would think too. Although on form, you could also throw Pickett into that conversation as well
-
He's already out, Harmes

What, in jail?

Carlton will be up and about this week, after the blowtorch being applied to them. And I think they will win. Unless the following can happen: Petracca can have another 40 possession game and kick a few Max can start dominating around the ground and forward when he goes there Lever can be that intercept beast that we once knew Pickett can play four quarters, instead of four minutes
-
No we don’t, and there lies the real issue.
-
That’s good, because either am I
-
That is exactly my timeline too! And also my wish, just want to see one in the flesh
-
And yet they still won. I would suggest that if our pressure was off against those teams, maybe not Giants, we would lose. As much as it pains me to say, and I would think most on this forum would agree, the flag is theirs to lose
-
Collingwood seem to be doing a fairly good job at it, Binman. Or do you still not rate them?

Good post Kieren, very well written. But I think Deever’s post is spot on. I don’t think our best 22 is good enough anymore. Other teams have gone past us. A few of our players are struggling to reach the heights they did in 21; Gawn, Brayshaw, Langdon, May, Lever, to name a few. Our midfield is not as effective. We don’t have a dominant power forward. The Gawn Grundy combination is not delivering the big advantage we thought it would. I genuinely fear we will lose the next 4 games.

Well, at least Tracc can get all the votes to himself now, might sneak a Brownlow! Seriously though, it’s a good sign that he is in rehab already. Don’t forget this is the same bloke who played with a broken hand last year. I think he will be back sooner than what the doom and gloom media are suggesting

Brayden Maynard and his cohorts would be licking their lips and salivating about the upcoming KB game

Lachie Hunter Loses Bid To Overturn 1 Week Suspension
bobby1554 replied to Monbon's topic in Melbourne Demons
Could not agree more with this. Well said. The Rankine bump was almost identical to Hunter. We must continue to challenge this moron, and highlight his obvious negative bias towards the MFC. So his assessment of the Rankine and Hayward incidents is that they were reasonable in the circumstances, and yet Hunters wasnt! The AFL need to step up here, and bring some sanity back into all of this. This is a high contact sport, and yes head injuries are going to happen as a result. Not because players are being careless, it is the nature of the beast. -
Current Ladbrokes odds

Would you believe $1.20 to $4.50!

Clearly enough to get selected by people who know a s..t load more than you and I bud

For all you naysayers questioning Salem’s selection…..in Round 1 are we “match fit”? So what’s the difference here? Salem is a gun, he has just come off a mini pre season, fresh as a daisy, watch him go!
-
Absolutely should have been cited for this. It was a bump which caused a serious injury. The MRO is a complete joke. And Jonas has previous form.
-
I doubt Brown comes if Petty misses. Goodwin said at his presser during the week that he still needs to work on some things, I assume that to be in the VFL. So either TMac or Smith get that role. Personally would like to see Smith in. If Petracca is rested, then JJ is in the 22. The only changes for mine.

Clearly Michael Christian needs to study the laws of the game
-
Now Brad Green can just point to the scoreboard
-
Well right about nowHoughton should be showing the Cripps hit on Ah Chee

A dysfunctional forward line doesn’t average almost 110 points per game. I hear Tassie might but be looking for some supporters, maybe you could jump on an early membership package
-
Yes agree with that. But what was that used to be said many a year ago…good sides win when they don’t play well
-
No, but it will get us there. Was always going to be a tough game, and I will take any win from that. Again, we almost kicked 100 points, so even though the forward line needs work, we are still scoring. We will get better as the year goes on. No point playing your best footy now. As Goody always says, the season is a marathon, no point going too hard early
