I just do not understand team selection this week. So our forward line is Brown, couldn’t get near it last week, Melksham, ditto, One of Gawn or Grundy, No forward craft whatsoever, Spargo, Neal Bullen and Pickett, all of which have had little to no impact in recent outings. And we bring in Jordan, good VFL player but not quite at AFL level, and Woewodin in his first game against AFL quality midfielders. This is the worst 22 we have fielded this year. Simon, you have lost the plot, time to go.

That would be my take on it too, from the vision above. Which, lets face it, is a far better outcome than if he had re-injured it.

I think Petty needs to go forward again, with JVR and possibly Brown. Do they all fit? The Dogs have Ugle, Naughton and Lobb. Tomlinson back in to defence. Whatever the club decides, they need to stick with it hoping it will gel come September

Why stop at his goal kicking, his kicking in general is not up to the standard of what someone on his coin should be. I don't buy the mental thing, kicking should just be a natural instinct and skill set of any half decent footballer

Beyond caring

From 73 inside 50’s we kicked 5 goals. Let me repeat, 5. We see Insta posts from the club of players kicking them out of where the sun don’t shine at training, so I’m tipping not a skill issue. Therefore, it is a mental issue. Not fully switched on, lack of care. This team is letting US down at the moment, and THEY need to do something about it. I am sick of them right now. The writing was on the wall when they broke from the huddle before the start, all laughing! WTF is going on with this team! It is embarrassing, as you say coach. Painfully embarrassing. Time for a good hard look in the mirror by most out there today. I am starting to think that 2021 was a fluke, an aberration. We got lucky, Covid hubs, lack of a serious challenger, etc. Have said it before, but this list is seriously overrated. Probably because they have an 85% win record at GMHBA. I wouldn't be hanging my hat on one against the odds performance (GWS). They play the ground extremely well, irrespective of who they have in.
