Oh the hilariousness of GEN X' talking about finical motivation as a taboo reason, and trying to tarnish an image, when GEN 'Y's really couldn't give a fark about taboo and are pretty transparent about rationales... -

asking price makes sense - it says to adelaide that staying is not going to happen as I'm pricing myself out of the equation... -
I'm pretty certain whatever happens with Jack , the culture will be fine... just like with was with Jack Trengove or Jack Grimes as well... Also, alluding to how Jim Stynes would or wouldn't feel about something, is a pretty $hitty way to get emotional leverage in an argument.

close thread...he's locked away -
I take your point on those raw numbers... however, do you remember his first 7 years and where the club was at...when we were slaughtered each week and could not hit targets - I think that context is really important when you breakdown those numbers.... He'd be seen as a gun albeit a (laconic) one if he ended up at Geelong or Hawthorn, or North or St Kilda rather than a bottom of the barrel Dees during those years... apols to @Grapeviney...you know why.

and those bloody unpatriotic Australian crickets who dare to go to the english change rooms post game and have a bevy...an utter disgrace - clearly not patriotic when they lose, but when they win. Don't give anyone an inch ever, don't form friendships elsewhere and don't dare work for other colours than yer own...

Firstly, he'll have intel from his manager, or directly himself that Victorian clubs are interested... secondly I feel as though your statement about him not wanting to get out his comfort zone is not warranted - surely the bloke is allowed to have priorities when it comes to location around family/friends ongoing business post football - just like many other footballers, or anyone else in middle class australia who has the fortune to pick and choose. God...I don't want to work in Karatha even though there are options there...

I wonder if in a decades time (or 3 years even) we will still be debating the relevance of Watts and or how this was handled...doubt it.

Markedly different - a former adelaide premiership winner going to party with adelaide - vs a player with no known links to richmond, or rance...just grew up a supporter and due to her aflw affiliation can get to places most of us can't? Are you down on clayton and max for liking it also? also Clarkson who was a north and melbourne person - becomes one of the most credentialed coaches around at Hawthorn - diehard people don't win premierships... just ask buckley, voss, hird etc etc etc

Averaging 11 possessions, they'd wanna be very damaging if the FD are into him.

Is this coming from a place of knowing, or just conjecture? Can you break that down further...

My take is this - I have a soft spot for any bloke who gets scrutinised within an inch of his life because of a choice he didn't make (pick no 1) - part of me is sad that he may not be a one team player. It does feel though that he will leave - and he may play his best in his prime in another team - some may argue that he should/must do that with 'us - this is simply a case of that the environment and time has passed for Jack to do it at Melbourne - he may not do it elsewhere - and he may - all the best to him either way. I think supporters who would give their left [censored] (and think its 'that simple') forget that the players who although may be genetically gifted - do not necessarily give their left [censored] to play and earn a living in this environment and may not actively pursue getting the best out of themselves all the time- not because they are selfish, but because they can't. Anyone thinking he should pull his finger out or that he has been given so many changes - should thoroughly examine their own life and assess those situations where they have failed to meet external criteria or expectation. * can't believe that anatomically correct term for plums has been redacted.

Why, what make him a tool?

stop talking in code @willmoy - lets see if you can act in line with your interest of 'truth'.
