WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
I agree, beyond the reality of where the players are developmentally, I think there is a structural problem of pushing up high allowing free space for the opposition mids to win the ball then get out over the back...last week felt a little like Pagans Paddock.... not too much a scrawny kid can do on Brown when its been delivered on his [censored]. I don't like exposing our back line...but [censored] it - I've never coached a game of football in my life, and no nothing about systems... I am however a reluctant expert who righteously posts on forums such as this.

I'm calling this weekend in Alice 'The Steven May Cup'.... should we win, we snare him, should we lose...he's off to Richmond!

Best 3 games from a backman since Danny Hughes - the 1980's not the 2000's

I love this thread... its about Cale now... I was expecting a comment about McCartin's report in the VFL - but we can let it go through to the keeper... CP5 is CaleV2.0? (new AND improved of course, not that things can be new AND improved).

How great is the depth of knowledge in the ornithological world on Demonland! Love this place.

I can think of two occasions today against Essendon, whereby he went forward on one- took a mark and popped it to Trac - and then bursting through the centre and roosted it in the final qrt - can't recall who jagged a goal. When he backs himself he kicks damagingly - and presume the weight of handballs/kick ratio is due to his (as aforementioned) cleaness in tight confines - and playing his role.

Well THAT's nice to hear, I was frustrated the other night that C7 failed to show close ups of handballs that were pinged (which they do regularly) (was feeling it was a conspiracy that suited a narrative). Clayton looked so adamant each and every time when disputing the decision...

Enough employment of the crap brother. We've had plenty of crap brothers...Ottens, Cockatoo-Collins(s), I remember about 10 years ago I made a list of about 10 who had fantastic brothers from other clubs, and we recruited the dud...

Ukranian, and if I remember correctly, was voted the best Ukrainian sports person (not sure of exact title, perhaps 'ukrainian decent living outside of ukraine) ahead of Wayne Gretzky.

Really appreciate the stats on this - demon land knowledge is awesome. Thanks for the reality slap - you're right @A F - if I'm feeling he's inconsistent - it will be a sight to behold in the future.

I wonder about Petracca's capacity for consistency. Can do the sublime, really sketchy in front of goal, and goes missing...wanting peoples thoughts on this, is there any other player you'd liken him to that he could become..
