  1. How many is that now Smokey? That'd actually be a good question for SirSwamp...
  2. Language is interesting eh... if Geelong snuck in, then perhaps we didn't 'stuff up' (nor Laurie)* it was the way it fell on the night.... You can only draft who is still on the board. ๐Ÿ˜‡ *not sure who came after Laurie
  3. I'd imagine Poita that the FD were quite concerned about the Demonland Game Day Thread, if they took Max off and the Eagles got within 3/4 goals and felt compelled to keep him on due to the unrelenting standards the team is held to ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ
  4. Imagine if coaching pressers went something like. 'Whilst we're keen to protect the integrity of the game, our sole objective is to ensure that we are premiers. Throughout the year - and adjusted as to how we are tracking with what the remaining schedule looks like, we add in greater measures of training, *ahem* loading if you will, to ensure it gives us the best opportunity for a clear run in the finals at optimal physiological conditioning. The science has come along way, and we are very nuanced about what it does. However, we are also conscious about how it appears for supporters, that form is fleeting, that the optics don't look great. Of course, it is hard to get a bead as a supporter due to the saturation of gambling ads, AFL sanctioned hawkers of media, drumming up the binary win/loss outcome on a weekly basis as a measure of how good you are, and what it means for the teams chances, but as a coach, I don't give a toss about that..."
  5. Buzzy, are you are aware of his lack of preseason, amongst other things?
  6. god there are some miserable [censored] on the game day thread... would you take a 50 point win? Yeah... but, I'll [censored] whinge about it not being enough, and some players haven't done enough. nah nah, I just expect a lot from my team and want to see consistent improvement. Anyway Youngsters keep doing well. We don't seem to be toooo predicitable as per the earlier thread this week. Battened down the hatches in the 4th.. but you can spin that narrative that because we're not in the 8, you need to continue and put the 'foot on the throat' to be deemed to be worthy by some supporters vs being in the 8, and it was a day at the office and responsible.
  7. I'd imagine King is licking his lips after watching the WCE game today ๐Ÿ˜
  8. Any positives from you at all, or feels too vulnerable to do so?
  9. there is a lot of revising and rediagnosis (due to update of knowledge bases) from ocd dx to autism or ashd dx .as a profession, were getting far more nuanced here is an interesting chart. it's not all functional and not all dysfunctional - and as always function is contingent on context. **sorry for typo, recovering from burst appendix whilst on holiday in cairns... medical tourism at its finest. 6 days in hospo
  10. We did what we could, really well, at the time. ๐Ÿ˜€ Life is all about who crosses your path and at what stage they are in their life.
  11. meet people where they are at, and treat them with compassion.
  12. there's only one explanation... where are they in the volume of their 10 month long training program?
  13. Mark Neeld vibes... where is veneer of mindfull/compassionate/empathic coach at Tigerland now?
  14. On this, would we have won the GF if May didn't (and by all rights shouldn't) have got up for it and the club had taken the conservative approach?
  15. 'cept when they play The Dees and we're just [censored].
  16. Sack the forward line coach ๐Ÿ‘Œ
  17. I used to come down from the country to watch the Dees play with my numerous years older sister who was living in Melbourne at the time. every time I watched him live, Heโ€™d have a โ€˜mere of a game and we would often yell out to not give the ball to him. perhaps I need to revise my view and assume he did pinpoint kicks and it was the leading player who was at fault? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ˜€
  18. @Monbon @demon3165 - pm your grievances to each other. The public airing, isnโ€™t working for those that want to read the thread. Cheerio ๐Ÿ˜€
  19. https://www.titusoreily.com/afl/the-magical-fairyland-of-afl-umpiring?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR3sRMJo78r7PhD1esInmvpmsigxUhflwnftbzNtlEsLaBwBcz1dd2Q385k_aem_FMcB70gghT8rzHD3F-rP6A For a change, quite the serious posting from Titus.
  20. Yes, some people believe that is the way people operate... ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‡
  21. Good to see some passion for the Dees! Must admit, a few losses can sting, but is there a magic number of loses that qualifies a team as totally predictable? Especially when you consider every team loses games. Maybe you have a secret list of the truly unpredictable teams out there? Just curious who they are for future reference!๐Ÿ˜‡
  22. Does the MFC follow Demonland? Anyway, theyโ€™re putting this out publicly for a reason.
  23. Nah, heโ€™s a [censored] kick ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ
