Steven May Suspended for 1 Match
The positive is he gets an extra week on the track after coming back from injury and only playing the one game.

Misson Leaving at End of 2019
Those comments were just hype. Comments are made between opponents all the time. They only gain prominence when it suits a narrative

Misson Leaving at End of 2019
I get that SWYL, and its nice to be reminded. I guess my standards and expectations have risen since those dark old days when Trengrove, Grimes, Mitch Clark etc were mostly on the injured list Also true however that he has been there for a long time and things don't appear to have improved. Injury / player management was one of the main reasons we missed the 2017 finals series. The recent spate of foot injuries meant fresh ideas were needed

Don't disagree

Misson Leaving at End of 2019
Each to their own I guess. I would argue we had injury issues under Roos also, some foot related also

Misson Leaving at End of 2019
I did actually but that's another story. Its the only department of the MFC that hasn't moved with the times. We are otherwise a modern football club these days. Maybe you can send me some of your rose coloured glasses ?

Misson Leaving at End of 2019
Lets be honest, he hasn't had the best record of keeping our key players on the track. Peter Jackson announced a review of the sport science department late last year after all the foot injuries and this appears to be a subtle changing of the guard. Well done by mfc for managing his exit the way they have. Don't doubt he tried his best. Not a bad time to be leaving by Misso given that we will reflect on all the injured / rehab players we have at the moment and those that re-injure if we don't make the finals this year. A real possibility unfortunately for those of us that are realists

New Major Sponsor - Jaguar CONFIRMED
Does anyone know how many years the deal is for? Typically if its not mentioned in the announcement its only a 1 year deal . Hope to be wrong.

May Hamstring Injury Confirmed (8/2/19)
Apparently hamstring injuries are now minor ... gotta love the spin the comms team put on our injuries ... "Minor hamstring injury for May"

TMacs Toe .... Again?
I'll remain concerned and hopeful until I see him hit the track and can judge his condition for myself. Can't rely on the club to update us about key injuries when they occur

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Easy to take post shots at the guy. Will remain a favourite even in freo colors. Gave us hope when we needed it. Hard trainer off field coming back in great condition at the start of the last preseason and was leading b and f or close before injury. Can't doubt his commitment to the club and hasn't broken any laws. We have all been on a bender in the past and good luck to him what he does during his break as long as mentally he is ok

Training - Friday, 21st December 2018
Doing some match simulation stuff. About 20 on field. About 6 off the bench. Shortened oval with no real tackling or goal kicking. Seems more about running, decision making and ball movement. Of the 26 l counted roughly 8 that would be in our starting 22 which includes May. Doing circuit activities now eg weights, ropes, sprints, bags, short kicking, excercises etc. Looks like fun actually. Good energy around the group. Numbers training are a continuing concern though. 22 mfc staff ?

We should see about some slightly longer socks

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
Do we seriously need a royal commission for scum bags
-
Gary Pert?
Suspect he is ramping up his planning for the new training venue after the win by labour and we will hear from him when they have an update. That's what I'm hoping anyway!

Recruiting a 3rd tall forward to find another 50 goals?
Anyone know a young key forward who has consistently averaged over 2 goals per game that we can target? In all seriousness, we can manage with two keys in Weid and TMac with Preuss/Smith playing only when we think we can stretch the opposition tall's or need ruck support

Jason Taylor Resume
Didn't we pay more for him as an unproven 17 year old? We seem to (on paper anyway) appear to have undervalued him a little in the Freo trade. I value a proven young gun forward much more highly than a like midfielder as they are rare, take time to come on, and you can build a team around them. But that doesn't mean we had an unsuccessful trade period. How well we identify the right player to undertaken an identified role and their cultural fit will determine that e.g. Hibberd, and Melksham ended up being a good fit after looking like we paid a little over. We also seem to have done ok with the GC trade. Congrats to the club for attracting talent like May against other big clubs chasing him

Recruiting a 3rd tall forward to find another 50 goals?
Apparently medical checks identified a serious and chronic torn eye brow. Cameron to go for a 4th rounder
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
It's not over until the trade period is over! Freo have stopped the 'public' due diligence process.
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
Yep, why would MFC lose an A grade talent like Hogan and not get the picks we need to get May across the line
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
Sorry AF, I'm happy to assume that he has nominated Freo but hasn't gone public. Happy to read between the lines on this one
-
Farewell Dom Tyson
Well done to Dom. Still remember our win interstate against Adel in the difficult years where he kicked a late goal for the dees. Gave us hope when we needed it and will be remembered fondly
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
The fact mfc and freo are in heavy negotiations more than likely indicates that Jessie has told MFC he wants to go. It also suggests he and Freo have also agreed to contract terms. But don't expect Jessie to come out and say that publicly as he doesn't want egg on this face if it falls through
