Well apparently it was an accidental clash of heads which caused the concussion and not a malicious bump/hit or anything, which is why he only got 1 week

Well since its a Sunday game MFC have an extended bench, so technically all of the melbourne boys on the bench could be dropped and by the rules of the game, Casey have to list all potential players who could play for Casey. So like I said, because melbourne have listed 7 on the bench with 3 to be dropped, Casey need to list all 7 of those players incase any of them get dropped to the 2's

Expecting Kingy and Dec to dominate the ruck and if all goes well Dec will kick 3+

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DECLAN KEILTY
Drunkn167 replied to Steve13's topic in Melbourne Demons
This is my thinking too, if they play both Pedo and Dec to rotate through the ruck, it frees up Watts to stay up forward and have a formidable forward line with Hogan. But as I and others have said, he isn't quite ready for AFL yet and needs more developing, but you never know. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DECLAN KEILTY

As much as I would love for this more than anyone to happen, Dec isn't ready for the AFL yet. Maybe some better form during the year might get him a gig but he needs at least another preseason in him. -
Was pretty imtimidating sitting there as a Dee supporter

Flipper is playing in the development league of the VFL, so is a long way off. King looked really good for his first game in 12 months, but being he has had so little game time I very much doubt he is ready for AFL. Pedo has to come in.

Any update on Bulls injury? Hoping hes okay
-
This will be my 3rd game seeing live for the season! Pretty good effort considering I work many weekends and live 2 hours from Melbourne ? Having to use my MCC to get reserved tickets as the players reserve was already full but super keen for a big game in front of a big crowd. Hogan, Wattsy and Bull to kick 10+ between them!

Copped a small corky and is pretty sore but will be fine, his cold should be all cleared up by next round too

So not to continue this derailment of this thread into concussion talks, but the hit on Brayshaw was after he had desposed of the ball and Casey will look to get footage to present to the MRP to hopefully get some kind of repercussions to what was a dirty hit in a side that reportedly played dirty all game.

TEAM SELECTION AND MATCH PREVIEW - ROUND 5
Drunkn167 replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
So god damn happy Bull is back in the team!! Yeah he had a quiet second half in his debut but the bloke has worked so hard for his opportunities it's satisfying to see that getting rewarded. -
Your probably busy but how'd Dec go overall? He's carrying a cold atm

Yes Dec!!!!! Back to back goals in the last QT

TEAM SELECTION AND MATCH PREVIEW - ROUND 5
Drunkn167 replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Essentially, yes. But don't look too much into it, Viney was named for Casey at one stage last year when he was coming off that hand injury and obviously was never gonna play 2's. -
Just on that and to anyone else who is curious, here a few more statistics from the game: Inside 50's: 50 v 50 Rebound 50's: 38 v 41 Scoring Shots: 20 v 23 Disposals: 396 v 324 Handballs: 177 v 122 Kicks: 219 v 202 So apart from the Tackles, HOs, free kicks and handballs, it was over all a pretty even game. Our handball numbers will always be higher because that's the game style Melb/Casey play, and the higher tackle numbers can be put down to our high possession total, however you cannot fault the pressure from Williamstown. My point being, Willy scored 7! Of their 12 goals directly from unforced turnovers, IE the kicks missing the target/poor skill execution. Now the poor skill execution can be put down to the oppositions incredible pressure, but it's definitely something Casey can easily improve, with just a bit more composure with the footy. We also seemed to cop a fair bit of unfairness from the umpiring which even the radio commentators I was listening too started to pick up on by the end. We only just lost to a side that has been a powerhouse in the VFL for years now, when we didn't have any true ruckman vs probably the best ruck in the VFL, and when we had only 12 Melbourne listed players due to injuries. Even though it was a loss, by actually doing a decent analysis, we can see that there is much upside to this game, and it looks like Casey will have another very strong year.

Keilty is done for the day, has a bad cold and looks to have done a hamstring or something.
-
Dammit Dec. He is carrying a pretty decent head cold and seems to be limping a bit but that was probably the worst decisions I've ever seen him make.
-
Once I get to the game and get my hands on a copy of the VFL record I'll be able to tell you if any radio commentary/streaming of the game will be done
