  1. Garland has just gone down and looks in a world of hurt. Knee/ankle, having to be carried off the ground. He can't walk. Not what we want for big Col.
  2. Not that I've noticed no, they all seem to have played
  3. Keilty has taken 2 huge grabs this final term, one which he converted to a goal
  4. Casey 12-5-77 to Port 10-3-63 3QT time, couple of late goals. Trengrove has been doing alright, nothing outstanding but doing his job
  5. Nope, it's dead still. Never seen Casey fields without wind before. The boys just seemed to not run as hard that quarter, I'd expect them to be getting a spray in the rooms.
  6. Ignoring any injury concerns, I'd have Tyson, Watts, Garlett, Kent, Pederson has been great, J Smith has had a lot of the ball and created a lot of run off half back, and Jetta.
  7. Casey 8-5-53 to Port 5-0-30 at Half Time
  8. Yeah he came back on with his elbow strapped, he looks good to go.
  9. Kent just came off the ground looking like he had a sore right shoulder after a nice smother
  10. Casey 7-1-43 to Port 0-0-0 at QTR time.
  11. Just arrived at the ground. It's a beautifully sunny day here in Cranbourne and is slowly heating up, I don't envy the boys playing today as the sun has a fair bit of bite to it. Unfortunately the jumper numbers are a bit of a mess at the moment and without any sort of VFL record or team list I will struggle identifying players but I'll try my best.
  12. Yep, 8 on the bench and unlimited interchanges
  13. After some consultation, this will be the lineup for tomorrow's game; FB: Jetta Hutchins* Garland HB: Hulett J Smith McKenna C: Scott* Gent* Kennedy HF: Pederson Watts T Smith FF: Garlett Hannan Kent Foll: Filipovic Trengrove Tyson Int: Keilty White Maynard Johnstone + 4x Casey * - Casey players
  14. Yep, makes total sense. I'm expecting a fair few Casey listed players to rotate through for that exact reason. I'll be sure to try to track how much game time the big name players have (Watts, Tyson etc.)
  15. Keilty will only be playing the last 3 quarters so here is my starting lineup; FB: Jetta Hutchins Garland HB: J Smith Watts McKenna C: Kent Gent Kennedy HF: Hulett Pederson T Smith FF: Garlett Hannan Johnstone Foll: Filipovic Trengrove Tyson Int: Keilty White Maynard + Casey
  16. Little bit of selection news, Keilty will be playing in the forward line and relieving in the ruck as there will only be one ruck playing, I'm not sure who but I'd guess it'll be Filipovic as Spencer has already played 3 preseason games. 18 MFC players will be playing for Casey this weekend.
  17. Yeah mate, 11am for Seniors and 2pm for Development league at Casey Fields
  18. I've talked about this before here I don't understand the hate Casey Fields gets from these forums Also the playing surface is second to none outside of the AFL grounds. If anyone went to the preseason game v Carlton you would've seen how immaculate the grass looked.
  19. I'm fully Melbourne now mate. As a youngster I was Collingwood because of my Dad, then at about 10 or 11 I turned to Geelong when I started to really learn footy and also my Mum was a Cats supporter, but never really learnt a lot about them, but now I am all about the Dee's. When Dec was playing really good footy last year it reinvigorated my love for the game (I had lost it in the previous 4-5 years due to personal issues), and because I had watched so many Casey games and had been watching the young Melbourne players develop (Petracca, Oliver, Brayshaw etc.) I started watching more MFC games and became fairly invested in them. But when he was picked up, it pushed me over the line. I now know more about this club, its players, its history, its coaches, then I ever knew about anyone else. I can now name every player, their Number, where the majority of them came from, I have been slowly learning the history of this great club, and watch and read every thing I can. Melbourne is my club and I believe will be for now onwards, even if Dec ends up playing for a different team.
  20. I honestly think we have stronger depth then last year, as well as a few good recruits for Casey and strong players in the development league, Casey are very strong contenders for the flag this year. Currently paying $11 on Bet365, get on it fellas
  21. Having watched him all last season at Casey and the few number of training sessions I've been too, I disappointedly don't think Hulett will ever make it past VFL unless he has a huge development spike in the next season or two, I feel bad for the guy as he seems to work hard but ultimate I don't think he will get there.
  22. It was just announced that Justin Plapp, the Casey coach, will be coaching the Victorian interstate side this year. Huge upside for Plappy, he has done a great job so far with the club and don't be surprised to see him as an AFL Senior coach sometime in the future. I will be going to the practice match vs Port Melbourne on Sunday and will be planning to write a report on the match, highlighting both MFC players and any outstanding Casey listed players.
  23. Yeah good. Has put on a fair bit of muscle, up to 96 or 97 kgs now. He hurt his ankle last week but it was nothing serious and he should be right for this weeks practice match. Now that he has done a full pre season, he thinks he needs at least another one to really hit his stride. Even though he is the fittest he's ever been, he's natural tank has never been that great and he says he really needs to work on it to be able to be really competitive when playing with the seniors. He's able to fight hard and compete well for the first 75-80% of the match sims etc. but slows down at the end because he loses stamina. I don't know if he'll get a gig this season, but if he manages to be in great form this year, you never know.
  24. Yeah mate, they just havent arrived at the club yet, takes a while to get them all made.
