ah ive just figured out what this round 0 and then a bye in round 5 is about. its for anzac day which is a thursday next year. very difficult to play on the weekend before or the weekend afterwards. so the 4 teams going north for round zero will be us, pies, bombers and richmond.

Feels like a massive slap in the face to supporters when we fork over our hard earned and just want the players to do their absolute best and yet they're getting on the gear before a game, drinking their own bathwater and pretty much doing whatever they can NOT to make us proud of supporting them. I exclude the womens team from this.

What do kids do when they realise they are about to run into another kid? They instinctively put their hands up infront of their chests. Everyone does the same thing. Maynard had to go PAST this position from his hands in the air to tuck his shoulder in and turn. He could have been front on with his hands infront of himself to protect himself but he didnt. It would have been awkward as all hell and they would have collided still but gus wouldnt have been knocked out and it wouldnt have even been a free kick. Still makes me sick.
