@Macca the whole thing proved to me that karma doesnt exist in football. it doesnt matter how much of a thug you are, how hard you work etc. if youre a thug you will win. you will be rewarded. see ess 2000, collingwood last year. hell, i dont know why a team doesnt knock half another team out in a grand final. theyd win on the day and miss the first few rounds (who cares, right?).

having read most of this it seems like instead of being selfless team first players, half our team are selfish me first players. until that changes we can look forward to being garbage.

another positive is that we will finally get a full preseason. weve had shortened ones since 2020 - and that was interrupted by covid. actually the last full preseason we had was 2018 - the rest have been shortened by finals or covid. hopefully this one can be reasonably injury free.

this has just reminded me. i went to a preseason session back in january. the foot skills then were horrible. balls hitting the deck under no pressure. the writing was on the wall for this season then, should have seen it coming!

I actually think we need to go hard for a couple of midfielders this off season. We need a replacement for gus And we need depth. Oliver will be OK with big preseason and hand injury fixed up. Trac likewise. I'm not sure who but I'm prepared to trade out first rounders if needed.
