  1. What a waste of 5 lines. I said they were uninspiring selections, choices that don't excite me. I then said that it was merely a reflection on our list that the only ins for us at the minute are players that don't really bring a whole lot to the table. This is a discussion forum, although I applaud you for getting on your soap box and getting annoyed about nothing, which is kind of ironic as you generally spend a good chunk of your time whinging and criticizing others.
  2. You're the posting police now are you C&B? We can post about what we think, if the ins are inspiring or not. I'm merely making an observation that, in my opinion, the potential changes this week are not inspiring. It reflects more on the current state of our list than anything else, but it's nice to see you still bring nothing to a thread no matter what you post.
  3. Not saying I want any, more that the 'ins' are not inspiring in the slightest.
  4. This was my thought exactly. Not all that interested in the rest of the season now, just want to see the kids still get a run and that we finish the season with some momentum.
  5. Which means that he is not underrated. It's pretty clear how good the bloke is and that isn't lost on the Swans, not for a second. But they have big decisions to make after signing Buddy and letting Malceski go might be one of them. Doesn't mean they don't rate him.
  6. I reckon this is a small element of why he re-signed now. He commits, other players have over the last few months and the club is clearly improving, even if the ladder doesn't necessarily suggest it. We can't do much more than that. Great news that Roos has committed now though and we can look forward to the next 2 years with some optimism. We just need to make sure we choose the right assistant to take over now.
  7. They need to develop their kids a little better and focus on turning them in to stars. The cast offs they have recruited over the years have generally been players that their previous clubs haven't missed.
  8. I do find it rather funny to see them continually going after average players each year from other clubs. There is a reason the club is rubbish and everyone can see it except them. Giving a soft, injury prone back flanker decent money is not going to improve them in the short or long term.
  9. I think he just enjoys using the word 'misogynist' as much as possible.
  10. The Tigers poaching an average player from another club yet again? When will they learn?
  11. And then you watch how the Hawks play and, deep down, you say.... could we really blame him for leaving? I know I couldn't. It makes a lot of sense really. If he wasn't contracted I'd have him at Melbourne if he got pushed out because someone like Chip came over. Play his role well and would be handy for our depth if he came for nothing.
  12. Pretty much sums up how I'm feeling Nasher. While the Lions played well today I still think we can roll them if we play like we did a week ago, and we still have a home game against GWS as well. If we finish the season playing good footy then I'll be happy either way.
  13. And that lack of run and heart makes it a no for me too. While the skills would be handy that lack of heart is just what we don't need right now as a club going forward. Geary, however, is someone worth looking at for the right price. That HS article seems like it is based on speculation more than anything else so I wouldn't read too much into it.
  14. The bloke is 95% gone. I don't believe he has committed to the Pies and all that garbage, but I do believe he is basically gone. Deep down the club knows it, we know, and he knows it. The sooner he mans up and says he is going the sooner we can move the hell on and never talk about him again.
  15. I wouldn't feel comfortable with it as I would rather someone work under Roos for 2 years before taking over, but if anyone could make it work it would be Kirk as he knows Roos and his game style as well as anyone. But I get the feeling someone will be appointed this year and that almost rules Kirk out of the race.
  16. Only you could turn finding our 1948 premieship flag, which was done by police and not the club, into some fluff about being tired of past glories and wanting future glories which takes the whole thing out of context. Impressed with the bloke for having a crack at selling it when, surely, he knew deep down there was no chance he would get away with it.
  17. I think most supporters would agree without much hesitation that the first bolded part is flat out wrong and the second one isn't explained in any depth at all, but that both Wines and Macrae are further along in their careers than Viney at this stage. Don't get me wrong, I love Jack and think he is having a very good season, but he isn't in their league right now. I think he can be but both Wines and Macrae are having sensational years.
  18. Just like you did there... I agree with this too. Viney has been terrific but Wines and Macrae are clearly ahead of him at this point in time.
  19. Pointing out your mistakes and inconsistencies doesn't make him a keyboard hero, it just makes him observant. For an older fella you act like a Prep when someone calls you out on it.
  20. Putrid decision aside Grimes was side by side, but, he put on a bump to the opposition player (Boak) that actually pushed his momentum towards Viney, rather than getting an arm across or at least trying to hinder his run at him. It was tough for Grimes though as he was on the wrong side to really effectively put on some sort of shepherd and, even though his bump was ill timed, I agree that there was little he could do once it was clear Viney was going to be first to the ball.
  21. His username should be all the understanding you need big red!
  22. If we didn't build on this year and improve further next year then I would be very, very surprised, and hugely disappointed.
  23. I think I would rather us target Shiel before Cameron. Midfield support is something we need more than forward line support right now, in my opinion anyway.
  24. You could argue he had that type of game against the Kangaroos, minus the game changing part, but I agree with the rest. I think it's just great that we can discuss the great year two new recruits have had as opposed to the opposite of previous years. Both have been excellent for the club.
  25. Came for the contract signing, fist pumping and circle jerking... and got the usual instead. Good work guys!
