Go right ahead and talk about him, but posting a picture of him smiling with Shiels after a game as they have a chat, which most players do, only brings the Watts bashers out of the woodwork to spend there time going on and on about the usual and clogging up the thread.

Thanks for now making this thread all about Watts instead of encouraging discussion about the game as a whole. Obsessed.

Gawn's game was excellent, our mids worked really hard despite being outclassed and Nev Jetta is a legend. However I was really happy with Dom Barry's game - he had 17 touches, had a hand in a goal or two and didn't look out of place. I'm not going over the top and saying he will be a player for us but the kid did his role well and contributed to the side, something I wasn't sure he had the capacity to do at this stage of his career.

Only surpassed by Jetta!

How good on the lead is Roughy? Helps he gets some sublime delivery but the bloke is unstoppable when he gets a run at it.

Those are two things that stick out to me. Yes, we are out classed. Yes, the Hawks are in a different league to us. But someone like Barry running around with Hill, getting his hands on it a bit and being involved, is a real positive. Hill might have kicked a couple and beaten him to a few contests but I'd rather Barry in there learning than Terlich at this point in the season. Gawn has been excellent up forward, he just needs to clunk more of those marks.

Who is talking him up? He is the most hated footballer at our club going by this board.

Have I landed in the Hawthorn vs. Jack Watts thread here? We can't trade him away otherwise half the posters here won't have anything to dribble about each week.

But it makes no difference. Why not try him against the best? Great way for him to learn.

But at least he ran 15 with it, kicked it 50 down the line and kept us in the contest... unlike some *cough* Matt Jones *cough*

For a clever player Dom Tyson can do some seriously dumb things. Matt Jones also does dumb things, but he isn't clever, so he can get stuffed.

It's brilliant to see Gawn take those marks. He can be a serious weapon for us IF he can do it consistently.

Trust me when I say I'm not a Watts apologist, far from it, but I was far more annoyed at Vince going to ground and allowing Stratton to waltz up the field to set up an easy goal. I know Watts ended up being involved in the chain but the contest was long gone by the time he could have had an impact on it.

Notice how Watts cops it for their last goal yet it was Vince who went to ground easily that gave them the extra man to set it up... yet no-one cracks it about that. Very happy with our ins so far today, Gawn giving us a target, Barry and Michie getting their hands on the pill, Cross is just fantastic... we are having a dip, no doubt about it, which is pleasing to see. Just need to keep it up now.
