If I remember correctly the two SA clubs warned GC that he would return to SA if they selected him. I think they said they would just take him back when his contract expired. Maybe they were correct and he just won't play outside his State.

It is hard to compare, I remember the great Polly Farmer who had a huge leap and could handball as far as most could kick, but was he as fit as they are today, I doubt it.

Rivers hates losing a contest and even though it doesn't happen often you can see it in his reaction. Sparrow can be anything, he's one of my favourites, courage and strength galore. Rivers is 20 and Sparrow is 21, they play like they've been in the system for 5 or 6 years. I used to feel sorry for good players that got drafted by Melbourne because we'd wreck their careers, now I feel sorry for them because we have so many good players they struggle to get a game, look at who we have on the sidelines. Jordon is an example. very good but had so many games as medical sub. How do you fit Hunt, Tomlinson and Melksham and Smith in?

Has any premiership ever brought as much joy to its supporters as this has to ours? I can't stop watching the GF and all the other games leading up to it. I'm so proud of this team, that refuses to give in and has confidence to know that wherever they are, they can still win. It's good to see the supporters are just as united as the playing group. My kids have forgiven me. I've watched all the games we played throughout the season, several times, but I won't watch the Collingwood game, for obvious reasons.

I think the goal he kicked after the siren against Geelong, in the final round of the year, will go down as one of the most important in our clubs history. He misses that kick and it changes the whole complexion of the finals. He is a legend and perhaps a bigger legend that a lot of us imagine.

I haven’t opened it yet, my son ordered it and told me it was blu-ray, I’ll check with him. It cost over $150 per set so I’d hope it is. 😬

My neighbour told me it's time to take mine down, all the more reason to leave it there, she is just a busy body and doesn't like football. I will make one concession, I'll surround it with Christmas Decorations, to give it a festive look. I'm going to go down to one viewing of the GF a week now, I can watch all the other games in between.

I doubt it's that, it's more likely that because of Covid there are a lot more items being sent in the mail and they have a shortage of delivery drivers. They were good up until a few months ago but seem to have slowed down a bit, they did warn that there would be delivery issues around Christmas time.

My order didn't go in until the 6th Oct, I thought I'd let the rush subside, bad move.

I went to South Australia for a week to see my brother and his wife and try as I might I couldn't convince them to watch the replay. To make matters worse my sister in law loves classical music and whilst I don't mind it I had trouble listening to it for 6 or 7 hours at a time and after spending half a day with either Bach or Beethoven in the background I was about ready to slash my wrists sensing this my dear sister in law would throw on some Enya or whale sounds to cheer me up. So after 7 days of this and missing the MCG Celebration and the replay, I got home yesterday and the first thing I did was turn the replay on and again today, I think I've wiped out the memory of my "holiday" over in SA but to make sure I will watch it again tomorrow.

Dunstan certainly looks fit, not an ounce of fat on him so he looks like he will give it a big go.
