Earlier in the year, as ruck, Jack was great. I can't help but think his sealer v Pies was his premiership in his head, or final say against a club that beat him up on debut. I agree with the other poster that he gets too satisfied and happy with himself after a decent game. The thing I feel sorry for him about though is he has never knuckled down a position on field, always being thrown around. But that still doesn't excuse his one armed marks and one armed tackles and jogging around like just another number. From what I can see his best position is ruck, but he can't be ruck in this side unfortunately. Would I trade him? Yes I'd certainly think about it, but the frustrating part is he's our best kick.

Well we do know some players are back from injury and Jetta, Hannan & Garlett have been playing sore, that'd be a big contributor but still a few other things wrong fundamentally too like overhandballing, bombing long into 50 and one arm tackles.
-
We got smashed by a team who were horribly out of form and missing their 3 highest goalkickers in Cameron, Greene and Patton. We have thrown in the towel, something has gone wrong since WCE game. I wouldn't be surprised if we are actually carrying a lot of sore bodies and injuries as something doesn't seem right.
-
At the end of day we are too inconsistent for finals so may as well play the kids now, good teams are building around this time, not dishing up weak efforts. Dogs, Swans, Crows for eg.
-
Exactly. We have no stars... No Danger/Selwood, no Parker/Hannebery/Kennedy, no Treloar/Pendlebury, no Cotchin/Martin, no Fyfe/Neale etc etc... All we have is a bunch of meat and potatoes midfielders who over handball and aren't fit enough (Petracca). Nathan Jones is and always has been a B grader in a bad side and I will forever question his leadership onfield when the chips are down. We need some stars who can turn games on their head, along with another KPF who can friggin mark and lead.

Keilty is not the answer, yet. Weideman is the future and next in line. I'd rather get games into Weideman than Keilty TBH.
-
We will beat Brisbane but lose other two, players have shut up shop. Top 4 on the line and thrown in the towel. interestingly I think come finals Dogs' will have won 7 straight imo

Great post and good to hear but.... We don't have any stars We don't have leaders in critical times We still have a dumb gameplan with overhandballing and bombing long We still don't have good key forwards I do admire the professionalism this club now has though.

6. Jetta 5. Gawn 4. O Mac 3. T Mac 2. Hibberd 1. Oliver

No it's not, this club doesnt deserve to play finals, we are weak as [censored]
-
Nah
-
Unfortuntely the dud coach doesnt reflect back on the past so we cant draw inspiration from that.
-
Why the F does Watts go for one handed marks all of the time?????!!!!!!!!! Its a serious Fing issue!
-
Watts - that effort to chase with 2mins to go was disgusting, in fact its this type of [censored] poor effort that should have him traded. Jones - Such a Demonland favorite, have always said hes a poor footballer with no brain getting cheap handballs out the back. He was our best player in [censored] times and still a B/C grader. And dont even get me started on his lack of leadership. Leadership - Where? None of them can hit a target anyway and people expect the kids to look up to these clowns?! Goodwin - lucky wins this year, has lost games at selection and besides TMac forward hasn't inspired me on game day and still hasn't learnt this bomb long into the forward line doesn't work, how many weeks is this in a row?? A couple of months? Gameplan - What actually is it? Something has happened recently, we are full strength FFS. Are they burnt out? We wont make the 8, and don't deserve to. Same as last year, when heat is on we fold like princesses.

That's 5.84 goals per game roughly, that's bloody handy.

Can Lever play forward? Did he play there as a junior?
-
I'm torn on Lever. He's a 3rd tall defender who mostly always plays loose, personally I think we are lacking a gorilla back. I also think we are a 200cm KPF short. He would still be our best backmen though if he did come. Edit: Actually I'll just leave it to club to decide what's best, this was all just my opinion from watching where we lack in games.
-
GWS ticker being questioned and our form has certainly been up and down, whatever has gone wrong with the effort and game plan needs to somehow come back. I'm expecting another "meat & 3 veg" day and another tight finish, which I'm getting sick of!
-
Yep got to agree, Goodwin is a spin master. Has done well this year but some things are just crazy, like team selections at times, Saturdays game, match ups on game-day and game plan ie- delivery, bomb long into fwd line. He is the right man for the future though, will give him benefit of doubt in first year, next year no excuses. Sick of hearing about the journey, behaviours and habits and other crap.

Mate, relax, it's OK

I'm not sure you know the meaning of paranoia? But it has nothing to do with AFL house unless talking from their end of the Chinese wall
-
Still a conspiracy! Danger would have been told that Martin had it tied up and not to appeal....watch this space
-
Quite impressed with McGovern, I'd make anplaybfor him too.
-
Just looked like any other tackle that was unlucky to me. If people get rubbed out for those type of incidents then they may as well change the name to netball.
-
100% agree! Set up! Add it to my long list of AFL conspiracy theories about the corrupt administrators!
