It's not the first time I've heard of Higan going home for family reasons, when I mentioned it a week or so back I was nailed to the cross. You can't blame the kid, big loss for us IF it happens.

And the even more alarming thing is, why didn't Kennedy and umpiring committee approach the club and Gawn when the issue was raised? They never game him a chance to rectify it, instead they belittled him on game day. This is the sort of stuff that's going on and I don't like it one bit. If I were Peter Jackson I'd be writing a please explain to the AFL on this matter and others.

I've had a quick look, can only find two reference to the word "straight" in there and they don't relate to this rule even! I will have a better look tomorrow. This was obviously premeditated towards Max, due to clubs apparently complaining about him. It's all BS, even Kennedy and his explanation. Makes me sick.

I agree with you. Kid just needs a good run at it, has had a horrible injury run, he is very important to our future I think and one of the very few who can hit a target by foot consistently. Let's hope his injury curse goes away.

Yes, in regards to Nicholls and Razor. Say what you want with your PC campaign but there's plenty of talk going around about not only Gawns frees against on the weekend, but our record in previous years. If I could be bothered digging it up I would but there's no need. Nicholls and Razor are the issue for me, I wouldn't think too many Dee's fans would disagree with that, apart from you. Anyone who watches multiple games on weekends would also see that games look to be evened up, not sure too many would disagree there. Not once did I say the umpires or the AFL are responsible for our rot. All IMO and my last post about it.

Lol. You missed the point. It is happening to every team, not just Dee's. For so many years this club has been [censored] weak at speaking up. The only umpires I have an issue with are Nicholls and Razor. As for the conspiracy, the jury is out.

I was an Oscar doubter at start of year, he's now well and truly exceeded my expectations. He's doing a bloody good job, especially when Tom played ruck and forward. Important for our structure now

Well I didn't expect to see the quality of posts I do when I started this thread and definitely seems like many agree. To think there isn't corruption of some sort is naive IMO, it even happens in the police force. I've been saying all year, there's more at play here. How much is he record breaking channel 7 contract worth? It's blatant corruption and manipulation of games to make the game look good and competition even. Funny how this season is the closest all of a sudden, I can assure you it isn't equalisation working! For me the blatant cheating of MFC games by Nicholls really upsets me, to the point where I won't go to games he's umpiring anymore. Plucks imaginary frees against and soft frees for opposition. 50m penalties become 80m etc. wish there was an umpire by umpire breakdown of the season. I watch all footy, every weekend, they even up games deliberately but MFC cops it for a few years IMO. Even out MRP outcomes get the max amount of weeks for fickle incidents. As I said, I'm always fair and have always criticised my mates by blaming umpires but this year sticks out like dogs balls.

It is Nicholls and Razor who I'm suspicious about mostly, it's just so blatantly obvious when they umpire our games. Agree re other 17 clubs but that's also my point of umps deliberately evening up the games rather than actually paying the right frees. The whole bloody league needs a clean up from umps to MRP.

No need to get personal, umpiring is deliberately evened up during games, makes you wonder why games have been so close all year..... oh yeah, that's equalisation.. give me a break. In QB game, Treloar wasn't pinged about 3 times in last few minutes from memory. WCE we got a very good run
