You can’t dominate like we did at the start for 4 quarters. Carlton were better that quarter and we pretty much squared the quarter. Need to come out swinging after half time and put it to bed.

Have a feeling Lockhart isn't fit. I couldn't believe he was out of the 22, let alone not an emergency. None of the remaining emergencies are a great fit however.

Yep, I've been on this for a while now as well. The game needs to be updated with the times, players are fitter, tactics more advanced etc. Stephen Hocking and his crew spent years coming up with little tweaks around the edges that were never going to be enough. Something more drastic is needed imo. Not only would the game be more open, but list sizes could decrease, and talent would be less diluted than it is now. It could even open the door to new teams if they wanted to go down that path.

That was a dire half of footy, and from 2 of the top 4 sides in the comp no less.

However, given we didn’t fix our forward entries in the months leading into round 1, I can’t say I’m supremely confident everything will click after a couple of weeks back training.

Lockhart very unlucky. And to think I’d assumed they had just about given up on Jayden Hunt. All in all, that is a good team on paper.

If Lockhart is fit, and looking in the same nick he was pre lockdown, I can't see any way he gets dropped.

Surprisingly worked pretty well on the weekend during the NRL. On a related note, after copping a lot of stick when they announced their comeback date, the NRL did a good job getting back as early as they did. At the end of the day, industries need to get back to work, provided it's safe to do so, and that's exactly what they did. They also introduced a pretty radical rule change a week or 2 out from the season resuming, that has changed the dynamic of the game for the better.

Not overly surprised, but doesn’t make it an any easier to hear. Laying the foundations to soon come out cap in hand asking for cash from fans I’d say.

I watched the end of the “Miracle on Grass” between Brisbane and Geelong on fox footy the other day, and Moloney was massive in the last quarter. Kicked 2 or 3, and one straight out of the center was classic Moloney. Still....Gawn easily.

Rubbish performance, but just wanted to stress how good Viney was. A preseason article even went as far to suggest he would “be a liability”, absolute lol at the clown who wrote that article.

I think Gil has done well. I think it's understandable that most industries try to continue, based on the government's current rules and recommendations. If that changes and the AFL has to stop next week, so be it, but that isn't the case yet.

I'm inclined to wait and see how all this is panning out in 2 or 3 months time. If I'm still in an ok position and haven't been given the flick, I will make donations where it's needed, which may well include the MFC. But if others want to get involved now, absolutely, go for it.

He is a good kick when he lowers his eyes, but is prone to just bombing it inside 50 too often to be considered the equal of Melksham or Fritsch. I’m a big wrap for Salem and he pretty much never misses a target, but he usually kicks short and safe. I would love to see him take it on a bit more. May is another who is a beautiful kick, although he turned it over a couple of time against Hawthorn.
